I have been playing around with some old-old stuff, but I'll get stuck into SNES now (unless there comes demand for the old stuff - yes much older than SNES).  I probably have around 20 covers not uploaded here yet, so I hope that this can be of help (all PAL though).  I have been using my wifes computer so as not to be antisocial (and the one year old gets to see some of her dad), but now I'll go down to the study as my PC has Adobe on it so that I can do a little bit better in quality than MS Photo Editor and Paint have been producing.  When I am done with all my SNES covers, I will tackle anything in the FTP if you like (If thats OK by Valeman and others..subject to my quality improving).

As I have said befor, I am very keen on this project.  Games stores sell SNES games unboxed for $19.  With Tatty Boxes the price is $29.  Therefore the benefits of this site are self evident.

Uploaded Vortex and Super Mario World 2 tonight (I know the NTSC version is already up for SMW2 but the Pal version is different enough to warrant an upload.

2morrow night I will upload DARIUS TWIN and BLAZING SKIES

How coincidental, I just uploaded the US boxart of Vortex a few days ago! Oh well, at least people get to choose between PAL and NTSC covers.

Good to see that you are planning on doing a cover of Darius Twin - that means I can stop doing my version of the cover. The box was slightly damaged and it needed a fair amount of work, so glad to see someone else can fill my shoes.

I can't say that I would be very good at making covers, but I have some super nintendo boxes that I could contribute:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles In Time

Mortal Kombat 3

Megaman X2

Megaman 7

Castlevania Dracula X

I think I have more, just have to check the site again and make sure they are not already here ;D

If anyone is needing these covers, let me know, I'll dig them out and scan them in asap!!

Do I have to do a seperate scan for each part, spine, front, back, etc?? Or just try to scan the whole thing in?

A scan of the front of the Mega Man X2 box would be very helpful. If you look at this thread (http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=328.0), you'll see that I have already finished the spine and the back of the Mega Man X2 box. I also uploaded a raw scan of the front, but unfortunately it's not in good shape. I was waiting for someone to clean it up, but if you can provide a raw scan of the front that is in good condition, I could be able to finish it at last.

Is it the PAL or the NTSC version?

Go to this thread (http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=328.0) and scroll to the bottom of the first page for the scans of Mega Man X2.

  • ...and that's the bottom line
Protoman81 all your covers are highly sought-after. I for myself could use Castlevania and Turtles.

As for scanning, just fold the cover flat so that you have the frontcover+spine and the backcover+spine. You don't have to scan the spine sperately. Just make sure you scan at 300dpi.

ok guys, I'll dig out X2, turtles, and Dracula X tomorrow affter work and scan them in and upload them as raw scans. Im willing to do whatever I can, as I am a collector myself, and this is a great project. Someone asked me if I had any NES boxes.

I went through some of my nes boxes tonight, and I have all the megaman games, complete with box, all 3 mario's.. etc. But I see those have already been contributed on the site. I do alot of selling and such on ebay, but I also go affter alot of the rare games for my personal collection.  Im looking to buy the castlevania NES series complete in box, but I have yet to find them in good condition, most of the auctions I have seen for the 3 games in question, had badly abused boxes. Hell, they don't got to be **MINT**, but atleast good enough to get a decent scan. I'll keep everyone posted on what NES games I get, and if the cover art is needed, let me know. As for the super nes boxes mentioned in my last post, I'll dig them out and upload the raw scans tomorrow affter work!! later guys 8)

As promised, I have uploaded Darius Twin and Blazing skies.  I have started using Adobe Photoshop Deluxe mow and am taking more care.  The Valeman was right, it takes a lot of effort.

That's the problem. Until we get the site up to date there's shit everywhere in people's individual FTP directories and in raw scans etc etc. Once Snowcone gets some of us access to uploading onto the site properly, which  should be tomorrow, and we get some of this stuff online ... it's a tad difficult to say what we have/haven't at present.

My advice ..... hang tight for a few days buddy. It's not like the boxes are going anywhere right?  :)
