I'm probably going to track down one of those retro controller adapters so I can use my SNES controller on the Gamecube.  ;)

Well, the reason I say it's screwy is because they swapped the A and B buttons. On the NES, B fires and A jumps, but on the Gamecube, A fires and B jumps. It makes absolutely no sense as to why they did that, and there's no way to change it back. I don't know if getting an adapter will help, but for gaming sake, I hope so.

DKBananas:

2nd the screwed up GC button layout.  What were they thinking!!!!  I have plans to use a GC to nes adapter then rewire an original nes controller with dip switches to re path the a and b buttons.  just haven't gotten around to getting the adapter or wiring up the nes controller.  Got a nice dip switch from an old motherboard though.

That's the way to do it.  Git 'er done! (ugh, can't believe I just used that phrase...)

AppleQueso:

All that trouble when you could just get the NES games...

As far as the 25th, all we've got thusfar is Project X Zone, which feature X and Zero, but that doesn't really count. A new compilation would be nice, but it would either just be a rehash of the GCN/PS2 compilations, or maybe a compilation of Mega Man 1-5 for the Gameboy (which they were making for the GBA, but it got shelved), which I would like, but I won't hold my breath.

And TF, enjoy those games. The buttons are screwy on the gamecube for the Aniversary Collection, but otherwise it's solid.

boy are they ever... reversed if i recall correctly.... which messes you up bad if you are a hardcore mega man gamer.
