to be fair Mega Man 5 and 6 arent cheap on Ebay. (I still have my copies with boxes and manuals). Honestly, It would be cheaper to buy a nes controller and rewire it. I just play the originals when I feel the need... but for those that dont have them and do have the anniversary collection... getting the GC to nes converter and rewiren an old nes controller is probably going to come in way cheaper than buying 1-6 carts and cleaning them with contact cleaner. (alcohol doesnt always work on the older ones as they have corrosion too.)

Good luck finding a working NES, or the money to buy a Toploader.
Anniversary Collection is much more convenient anyway. One Disc > 7 Cartridges and a Disc. Button layout can be switched anyways.

Come on, you know that's not a simple solution at this point.

And this is a big part of why; it's no small, or cheap task.

Just get the PS2 version. Funky controller problem solved.

Dude, there's so many clones out there now. No need to buy an actual Nintendo unit anymore ;)

Or any frontloading NES and a $5 replacement connector. It's not hard to find a working one or get a flaky one up and running. Mine works just fine.
Toploaders are overpriced considering their inferior video output.

just get the ps2 or xbox version
and also, no i dont think capcom is doing anything super special for the anniversary. i would be very surprised if they did.
