Anyone here know anything about homebrew Dreamcast games? I've been reading about it and it seems cool but I'm not sure how it works. Anybody who knows about this kind of thing, how does it work and what are the best games? |

Too gray area to talk more. ;) |

Oh please, we aren't going to be shut down for talking about homebrew for a console that's over a decade old. There's seriously no reason to ban discussion on this sort of thing, all that's needed at most is a simple rule against posting links to sites that provide roms/isos of commercially released games. I could understand discussing something like ps3 or wii homebrew being a bit more taboo, since they're current systems, but this is the friggin' dreamcast we're talking about. I don't really know a lot about the dreamcast homebrew scene. There's emulators and stuff, but I don't really find those particularly interesting. There's also a handful of unlicensed games that have come out over the years, many of which are kinda pricey but really, really cool. Beats of Rage (and its various mods) seems to be the most popular thing you can get for DC homebrew wise. There's also a few ports of Doom floating around, since Doom gets ported to everything under the sun. You'll just have to google around more. |

Don't have a cow mon. ;D I didn't ban, or take any other action. I merely meant be cautious. Talking on general level is not forbitten. |
