a few other games that are pretty fun are ridge racer 64, bomberman 64: second attack and pokemon puzzle league. also pilot wings 64 is pretty descent, but isnt too outstanding. the PW games were mostly a novelty for people because they were nintendo's "tech demos" for their systems, but i still enjoy them from time to time.

I've personally never sold a game I've enjoyed to any capacity and not regretted it. I've never regretted owning a lot of things, but I've almost always regretted selling. Just food for thought.
Then simply don't sell stuff you like to play, even if you haven't played it in a few months.

Unfortunately some of us can't help it. Personally, I lost/sold quite a few greats years ago, and am paying up the nose to get them back. Never again, but I haven't regretted selling, say, Metroid Pinball, or Epic Mickey. I found the games terrible and likely will never go back to them, so it was an easy choice.

It's funny, I just sold Epic Mickey like 2 weeks ago cause I was staring at my collection and all I can think was "Why do I have this game?  It blows, I should try to get some money back on it."

As to the other posts, I prolly keep KI Gold and Doom 64 just because they have childhood nostalgia to them.  And KI is really my only fighter on the 64 right now, and Doom is still unique even if I have shooters.  I do enjoy the collecting aspect of it a lot, but I also don't want to get a game I'm never going to play.  I already have these though and like AppleQueso said, I won't get much for them.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys!

Wiggy: PM me if you want to buy Pokemon Snap.  It's complete in box with everything (game, manual, cardboard, even the stickers and other inserts)
Heh. Well it feels good to know I wasen't the only one. I traded it for Kid Icarus Uprising; I think I made a good decision.

Also, I forgot to mention, but "sentimental value" should play a role, just not a huge one. Out of the 400 games I own, maybe 5% of those games are there for "sentimental value", though they're usually excellent games to begin with(Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Crash Warped, Sonic Adventure 2, etc).

I just checked Amazon for the value of those two games; Killer Instinct Gold is around $15 to sell and $5 to trade-in, and Doom 64 is $10 and $2 to trade-in. So yeah, if the sentimental value of those games outweight the proposed monetary value, then by all means keep them.

I apologize if I come off as a cunt.

I think it's very arguable whether Sonic Adventure 2 was "excellent"  ;)

I loved sonic adventure 2 when they rereleased it on the gamecube. I completed the crap out of that game, and my friends and i would stay up for hours playing the racing and treasure hunting multiplayer. I suppose its mostly the sentimental aspect of why i love it so much and also i just believe its an extremely fun game, but i can totally see why it wouldnt be for others. there are flaws that i see now that i never paid attention to(or cared about) ten years ago...... but i digress

Well it was for me, but yeah that could go for any Sonic game really, except maybe the original trilogy+knuckles. People say Sonic Adventure 1 hasen't aged well, I still find it to be a classic.

Not a fan of Sonic here. Only one I liked was Adventure 1, and I never even played it in English :P

That was something interesting about the Adventure games; You could change the voices to japanese.

Hearing Japanese Sonic say "That was tight!" in engrish never gets old.

I'd say Star Wars Rogue Squadron is worth picking up. Possibly also Battle for Naboo, which is similar, if you like Star Wars.

As a kid I also enjoyed games like Episode I Racer, Blast Corps and Pilotwings 64, though those won't be for everyone.

OH, and don't forget you HAVE to get Superman 64! Absolutely an N64 classic... ;)

I loved hearing Tails yell "AAIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" when the plane went down...

I played the original Japanese version when it came out, that's it.  I didn't have a choice but play in Japanese  :-\  It took me about a month to beat that damned game not knowing what on Earth was going on LOL!

I eventually bought the US release, but haven't touched it to this day  :D

After much debate and research, I decided to go with Mario Party 2.  If I like it a whole lot and want more games I'll probably pick up Mario Party 3 as well.  I might have to get Hangtime too...lol.

Mario Party 2 was probably my favorite in the Mario Party series.
