PAL RGB Nintendo 64

Just recieved French Nintendo 64 (FRA-serie) with NUS-CPU (R) -01 motherboard.

I opened it up and indeed it has the VDC-NUS A chip in it, so it should be possible to RGB MOD it.

Now I just have to find the instructions and give the board to my sister's boy friend who knows how to solder.

Looks like the French RGB mod is alot more complicated than it's NTSC counterpart, but instead of attaching wires directly to the chip points, the French Board has places to put the components so that it outputs directly to the AV port using integrated circuits rather than shielded wire.

This mod is truly better done by a real pro. Especially the PAL RGB mod of a N64 is a pretty iffy.

Make also sure to get a special RGB booster cable made because my N64 looked like shit rgb modded but after I also used the bosster cable it looked vibrant and astonishing!

I can't solder at all, and I'm way too impatient and clumsy to even try this.

And I thought that the extra pieces that are soldered to the board in those instructions make the booster cable not needed.

Maybe it depends on the console itself. I saw some people who didn't need the booster cable but as I said my picture quality made a 100% leap forward when I got the additional booster cable.

Yeah, but the method of RGBing PAL N64 seem totally different to US one.
We'll see when when I get this done.
I have SNES RGB scart and NGC RGB scart some where, I'll check if either one works natively.

Doing the RGB mod on a US system isn't really too hard at all. I've done it before. That PAL one looks tricky, with the SMD components and whatnot. I wouldn't attempt it myself.
