I don't know if they "last longer", but jewel cases are easier to crack.

They definitely crack much easier.  I have no where near 91 PS1 games (8 I think off the top of my head), but I converted them to DVD cases.  Unfortunately it's harder to find cases that fit 3 or 4 disc games, so right now I'm just squeezing them into 2 disc cases.  They look great on my shelf though!

Multi-DVD cases are pretty easy to track down if you live in the US; multiple online sites.

Additionally I'm sitting on a ton of 2 or 4 (and potentially I still have my m-lock 6 disc and an assortment of 8-dsc) cases I'd be willing to part with for cheap.

I live in Maryland, but usually I just find a large stock which is prohibitive to me.  I'm looking for something better for my copies of FF7 (3 discs), FF8 (4 discs), and FF9 (4 discs).  So basically I only need 3 DVD cases.  Are the ones you have the same thickness and size of a regular DVD case?  And how are the extra discs held (swinging insert, inlaid spots, one thick center ring)?

Velmeran:

Should be swinging tray on the 3 and 4 disc ones.

I'll try to take a few pics tonight when I get home.
