Oddly I have a copy of F-Zero for the N64 that doesn't work.  Looks fine and dandy, absolutely cannot get it to work no matter what :(

lcvolt:

i changed my expansion pack for the regular jumper pak to see if maybe changing the termination circuit would work. nothing happened. is such a shame that n64 games are easy to find, but the hardest ones to rum properly.

wiggy:

Makes me wonder if F-Zero 64 has a specific defect. My cart is like new. I bought it new, I always kept it store in a dry place, and it just randomly stopped working. My Japanese copy works just fine :/

zakurowrath:

It could be a number of things since cartridges have numerous parts in them. Most likely it's the capacitor that regulates the voltage to one of the circuits. Oddly enough, the way I get my stubborn N64 carts to start up, is the old fashioned blow into the slot, then here's the magic, I yell "work" into the cart and sure enough, it fires right up. Maybe the vibration from my voice does something to the board but it has never failed me to this day.  Now it's not an over the top rage yell, but it's loud enough to make people go wtf  :P

lcvolt:

to get my games to wurk i push them all the way down and then pull them up a little bit from the right side, it never fails, except but with these 2 games. anyone knows a tutorial or something on how to fix games, i mean, FIX (im tired of going thorugh youtube videos only to see people telling you to blow on it).
