Turok - N64 Question

mariocaseman:

I am trying to beat this without cheating...  I did it many years ago.  I'm trying to be very conservative with my ammo.  If I do run out, does the ammo regenerate anywhere?  Or could I face the possibility of being completely out of everything by World 5 and be forced to try to beat the game only using that pathetic knife?

anaxagoras:

If I remember correctly, I used my knife as much as possible since it causes the victim to drop health.  The tek arrows also give health and seem to be readily found.  For the final levels, the rocket launcher and grenade launcher were helpful but I conserved ammo only to be used on bosses. To beat the game, build the weapon of which a piece is hidden on each level.

Good Luck!

FFXIK:

Ah that was the Chronocepter or something like that.  If I remember correctly(It's been over 10 years) The later levels get pretty stingy with ammo and health pickups.

games-go-round:

You should be fine, so long as you stick to your bow and knife in the first level or two.  Also, be sure to take advantage of the "warps" that appear on a regular basis - you can extend your health over 100 with the pickups inside.

Turok isn't the hardest game, and is totally do-able without cheats!  The sequels, on the other hand, are another story :-\

Turok 2 and 3 are a real bitch, huh?  So hard they're not even fun?
