I've been getting requests for my templates, so I cleaned 'em all up, labeled the layers, and deleted any extra crap that I had floating around in them.

A few of notes:

  • My templates have a .5mm grey border for trimming purposes, which I know many of you don't like.  I know you can set crop marks in Photoshop, so please don't try and instruct me how to use the software. My issue is that I would have to set up the crop marks every time I print, and it's not worth the headache for me.  Don't like 'em?  Then just crop the image down for yourself.  Plus, this should make life easier for the many Gimp users on the forum who may not have tons of experience with editing and printing images/photos.

  • The SNES and SFC templates share a single file.  The layers are very clearly labeled, so using it shouldn't present any problems ;)

  • Each file has a group of layers that include various applicable logos and such.  I included these just in case you need to plop them elsewhere on the cover.  Most remain in vector format, and some have been rasterized (for reasons I cannot recall).

  • These have been improved over what I used for my own covers.  Nothing in any of these files is comprised of scanned art at this point.  Every graphic, every letter of type, and every logo are all from vector-drawn images.  Some stuff was web-sourced, and some couldn't be found, so I built what I had to from scratch.  This took a fair amount of time to do, so I hope you all appreciate and enjoy how clean this will make your covers look ;D

Here's an example of what I'm talking about.

Scanned N64 graphic versus my rebuilt vector version:

Alright, enough blah blah, here they are!

Wiggy GB template (DS case)

Wiggy GBC template (DS case)

Wiggy GBA template (DS case)

Wiggy DS template

Wiggy 3DS template

Wiggy NGP template (DS case)

Wiggy Revision of Lumberjack24 NGP (DS case)

Wiggy N64 template (UGC)

Wiggy SNES/SFC template (UGC)

Wiggy Genesis template (UGC)

Wiggy 32X template (UGC)

Wiggy Mega Drive template (UGC)

Wiggy PAL Mega Drive template (UGC)

Also, here's a cleaned up (i.e. vector) version of the SNES "Only For Nintendo" logo

I've got templates for the PS1 (cover and disc), PS2 (cover and disc), Saturn (cover and disc), Wii (cover and disc), Wonderswan (in jewel case), and those UniKeep 20 disc cases that I posted about a while back too.  I'll clean those up at some point and upload them as well at some point soon.

If you have any requests, then just let me know.  I've already provided a bunch of custom artwork to various members for a variety of reasons.  I enjoy doing this sort of thing, so don't be afraid to ask.

Admins, I wasn't sure where to post this thread since the template sub-forum doesn't allow me to make a new thread.  Sorry if this is an inappropriate section for this sort of thing.

Excellent, thank you wiggy! I'm going to convert over all my GB/GBC/GBA cases at the very least.

I would be curious to see your Saturn template.

My disc-based templates are very, and I mean EXTREMELY minimal at the moment.  I'm gonna add a bit more to them before I post.  There's ZERO technical data on the back right now (like number of players, barcode, etc.)  I know most folks here aren't down for that level of minimalism, so I'll go ahead and get them more TCP friendly ;)

Here's what I mean when I say extremely minimal.

  • ...and that's the bottom line
When you make your templates more TCP friendly, please don't ( i repeat DO NOT) discard your minimalistic templates and covers. I for one am a big fan of custom covers, and I'm not the only one here. If you create a custom cover there's really no guideline besides the quality (i.e resolution, dimensions and so forth). So making them TCP friendly is an awesome courtesy to our members who value all the technical data and it is very much appreciated if you go the extra mile for that. But it is in no way a must. Just in case you ever create a cover that you feel is perfect without all that technical stuff, don't hesitate to upload it because you think it's not TCP friendly.

Thanks, and I don't plan on it ;)

I've still got a bunch of PS2 and Saturn games to do, and I plan on using my current templates :)

I'll go ahead and up both versions when I get the revisions done.  Glad to hear others dig that sort of thing!

Just a quick one to say great work Wiggy. Keep it up.

Thank you so much!  =)

Cool stuff.  I really like how the NGP template has that bubble around the barcode.

It's funny because I had no intention of making an NGP template, and it ended up being my favorite ;D

Well, I sold my NES collection off in college (one of the last things I wanted to let go of along with my record collection, but that's how it goes).  So, I'm in no hurry to do it, BUT, I would like to eventually make templates for every modern system (NES/Master System and up).  I've been way more into collecting lately, so maybe I'll start up that NES collection again...

I only started NES recently after I got a good deal on an AV Famicom. Loving how sadistically difficult these games are haha.

OMG, tell me about it!

I remember getting Rush'n Attack for my birthday one year.  I don't think I beat that game until I was like 22 LOL!

3/15/2012 - Revised the SNES/SFC template.  Now includes Super Scope compatibility icon, Super FX chip icon, and "Only For Nintendo" label.

Enjoy!
