I'm looking for high-res versions of the art used on the Japanese versions of these Mario games. Most of them have a similar kind of "grand" scene going on. Specifically I'm trying to find:

-Super Mario Bros.
-Super Mario Bros. USA
-Super Mario Bros. 3
-Dr. Mario
-Yoshi Safari
-Super Mario Land
-Super Mario Land 2
-Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land

I'm looking for the main game art like these:

I've seen some of these used on covers uploaded here, and the source images seemed to be very good quality (or at least redrawn very well), so I'm hopeful high resolution versions exist. I'd like to use them for UGC and EU DS inlays and eventually personal cover art. I'm also interested in any other Mario series art with this same feel/style (I'd love to find some similar nice SMB art to represent Super Mario Bros 2j (The Lost Levels), VS Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. Special, as if they were official releases like these).

I'd also love to know where exactly this came from, and if there's more to the image:

That particular art of Mario kinda pops up on all kinds of things. I've got a big Nintendo box that has it on there.

Nice images, but some of them look "warped" (pardon the pun), as if they were painted on glass or something.

It's a side effect of resizing from shitty web images, you can go in and manually clean the artifacting or you can slap a light paper texture on the image to mask the effect.

Also, bear in most of these images are A4 or A5 and thus much larger than what you need for a cover. When resized smaller and printed they look fine, that said having the original art in a higher base resolution would be the ultimate solution.

It's a great start, thank you!

On a related note, can someone out there re-create a high-res version of the U.S. logo for Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (at the very least, just the "The Lost Levels" part)?

wow that looks like it'd be REALLY easy to vector. I'll give it a shot.

EDIT: is this okay/usable? Kinda slapped it together really fast.
