Yeah, yeah, I have way too many concurrent projects. But to be fair, I started this one long before I came here. I don't know if any of you read or have read any Star Wars books, or for that matter have listened to any Star Wars audiobooks, but it's something of another hobby of mine aside from video games. Over half of my audiobooks were on audio cassette so I set out to convert them all to CD. In doing so I wanted to have some CD labels for them, so I came up with some for just about every tape-released audiobook there was. Currently I have over 250 files just of CD labels.
Having done some covers here, I wanted to keep my collection in DVD cases. So I made a sort of unifying look, and came up with this:

Here's a closer look at a few of them:

Each one features a basic description like the back of the novels, as well as the narrator, Star Wars era, and each spine features a character from the story to make the spines look more interesting next to each other. For the front cover art, I'm trying to use the novel art when I can, but I'm also making alternates using the fantastic Japanese art that many releases got (like Outbound Flight above). I hope to eventually do one for every novel that got an audiobook, as well as every audio drama (which are also great).

Currently I have covers finished for: A New Hope, The Old Republic: Decieved, Darth Plagueis, Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, Outbound Flight, Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina, Dark Empire (an audio drama), Before the Storm and Shield of Lies.

It makes it a lot of fun to read the stories and see references to other stories you may have already read and see the lasting effects of that story. They also go more in-depth on the behind the scenes events surrounding the movies. There's a reason Star Wars' "Expanded Universe" is so popular.
If you've never listened to a Star Wars audiobook before and you have any interest in the series, I'd highly recommend it. They have top-notch production, most of the narrators are fantastic and do different voices really well, and they use real Star Wars music and sound effects from the movies. They're really great to listen to when bored, cleaning or when taking a long drive. In particular I really enjoyed the recent Darth Plagueis book, which covered Palpatine/Darth Sidious' master mentioned in Episode III, and Palpatine's rise to power leading up to the movies. Check out this great video about making the Episode III audiobook back in 2005:

That way if people buy them off iTunes (I think 97% of them are on there) they can burn a single mp3 cd, or just have a case like people do for WiiWare games. If anyone's interested in advice on which books/audiobooks to check out, I've read/listened to them all, and I'd be happy to share some suggestions. I also have a complete audiobook timeline if anyone's interested.
So, yeah. Just wanted to share this project with you guys.
