Thanks!

Tried to get at least a couple of the pull out console shelves done before my wife's family showed up today (because the basement was still sort of a mess). Working well so far...

Shelfy shelves done!  Just need some paint, which will happen in spring most likely.

Next up, new rack for modern game systems as my entertainment center is pretty much packed :/

And a quick, crappy panoramic shot.  I'll upload some close up shots later.  I don't think I've ever really done that before.

Wiggy, if you had to choose one game from that whole collection to keep. what would it be?

Purely research for upcoming projects.

Thanks!

when will you start selling that snes?

Probably won't ever do the mini on a large scale.  The plan has been changed to attack the SNES phat since it has both far larger installed user base and there's actually a NEED for such a thing as so many have yellowed, chipped, cracked, etc.  There was just no way that I could have ever recouped the tooling cost for the SNES mini shell to have ever been able to just break even.  I'm talking 5-figure costs here.  I did the math, and I think I'd have to sell more shells than there are SNES minis in existence.

But I am going to be picking up a 3D printer before too long, so I will be able to produce them in small numbers, but they won't be cheap.  We're talking a couple hundred bucks when all is said and done.  That said, wouldn't a chrome SNES mini be bitchin'?  ;D

Thanks man!

I keep meaning to print a normal cover for it.  It's a Lego Star Wars game.  Can't recall which at the moment.  I actually have 2 other player's choice games, but I've just printed new covers for them.  I really don't care for the yellow spine thing that Nintendo did and I have zero shame in simply covering it up :P

that looks really nice!, but where are the rest of your games going to go??

I've got some room if I move those big, dumb box sets elsewhere.  After that's been filled, the plan is to transplant the movies (lower right) over to the other side of the basement in yet another shelving system that I'll have to make.

Most likely Zelda 3.  A close, close 2nd would be SMW.

So I was looking at the local hardware store for a cool drawer pull for the controller drawer.  Couldn't really find one that I liked.   I solved the problem with a slightly more wiggy-like solution :P

Thanks all!

Doc, I'm torn on that one. I had planned on painting it, but now I think I might just lacquer it and call it done. The rest if the basement is painted green and white, so I could actually match to that scheme and keep it totally Mario, but I'm not sure I wanna anymore.  I'll have to sleep on it (some more).
