In the mean time, I'm still working on my 2 player consolized game gear...
*proceeds to bang head into wall*

Sounds like serious work :-\

Ya I should totally post my "patented" template for the ds cases, that way they can steal it too and use it with thier ds cases.

Don't do it!  You'll end up seeing 'em on eBay and their site claiming that it was their own ingenious idea :P

Thoughts on a solution Wig? Perhaps a thicker stock for the covers? It's quite irritating. My official Nintendo cases don't do it, must be the shifty plastic reacting to the Aussie heat.

Is it the paper or the sleeve?  It looks more like the paper to me.  If so, go with heavier stock, for sure!

I just looked at my cases and I have the same problem as Azarkhel (thanks for pointing it out, now its killing me every time I look at my shelf). So if there is a solution someone knows that would be great to hear.

Pull out the printout.  Is it totally flat still?

Yeah print is fine, it's definitely the plastic. It might have something to do with how tight my cases are on the shelf. I've pulled one out per shelf to see if less stress on them alleviates the issue.

EDIT: Ok, definitely had them in too tight. Less than an hour later and the rippling has calmed down a lot.

...in that little cartoon, are you slamming your fist into your palm or holding a tea cup??
I'm slamming my fist into my palm, as if to say "That's it!  Time to get the job done!" LOL!

You would think it's meant to be a teacup LOL!

of course!, perfect way to prepare before building shelves/relax after working on the car/recover after halloween/refresh after working on handhelds/recouperate after surviving a hurricane!

*waits for something else to happen to stop the shelves getting built!*

I would prefer a nice mildly chilled brewski for such an event ;)

Now that the Jeep sold I should have no issues getting started. That's really what I needed to do before getting started on it.  The wife and I budgeted the funds from the Jeep sale for the shelves and a few other things. I can't wait to get started, especially considering that I'm actually out of space as of completing a couple of covers earlier today :(

1) Not really worth the time and effort.  2) I simply don't have the time to do so. 3) I use LOTS of other people's art, and I am in NO way interested in selling something that someone else spent their own time doing unlike some folks.

i understand that for sure.  i think it's frustrating to see people capitalizing off of others' work, but there is obviously a demand for it, so if someone wanted to devote the time and effort into selling pre-printed cover art & UGCs for carts at a FAIR price with the knowledge and consent of those who created the art, i think that would be a great solution.  if i had the time i'd volunteer but i will refer to reasons 1 and 2 you provided above as well :)

I just wish I could do it my got-dang self. I love the tutorials and tips on the forums, but I just don't know where I should start to begin printing off my own, high quality prints. What the best printer for the $$ is, suggested paper type, how to apply labels/clean carts, even minor design tweaks. Guess I just gotta stick around a bit longer!

i use this printer with this paper and i get fantastic results.  just be sure to print at the highest quality photo and choose the right paper type and the printer driver does the rest.

It sure is.  It just pisses me off to see the work so blatantly ripped off, especially the templates.  So damned lazy that they can't even be bothered to make their own, despite having a "designer".

I'd prolly start where a lot of folks do; at Staples/Office Max ;)

If you have nothing to do... Don't do it here!

I got shut down from Staples the last time I tried to get prints made from there. There's a mom and pop shop here that I'm thinking of checking out though. Perhaps there is still hope...
