Most likely, it'll just need a new screen. Is it an original Gameboy brick? If so, it would be pretty cool to try and retrofit a GBP screen into it.

So what I'm late big woop wanna fightaboudit? Well the screens on a couple of my gb's are starting to crap out with these little "ink blotches" small but annoying (yes I still play them). I heard about swapping a gb pocket screen before but all my pockets work so I'm not willing to sacrifice one. Any idea of where to find one?? I'm sure it'll look great back lit.
(+points if you get the reference)

eBay eBay eBay.
Search = gameboy broken
That's pretty much my number one search as of late. I hate to think that I'm telling you guys this and possibly ending up bidding against some of you, but honestly I've purchased 5 GBAs, 4 SPs, 2 NGPCs, 2 GBCs, 3 3DSs, a Pocketstation, and a Swan Crystal in the past month. I think indeed to take a portable console break anyway :P
Of the 7 "broken" portables I've purchased in the last month, only one was indeed broken (an SP that was ripped in half). The rest either worked just fine right out of the box or just needed a little cleaning. There's no moving parts on these things, and about the only thing that really breaks on them seems to be the speakers, which doesn't even matter if you're only planning on swapping the screen.
Good luck!

lol this is what i have left from ebaying. I sold off about 5gbc and about 8-9 modded dmg-01 plus a whole box of almost 20 dmg's that really didnt work. But pretty much everything else i have bought works and that kinda does kill my sake of experimenting lol.

My desire to repair, clean and restore > My desire to experiment
I guess it comes from my auto body experience lol. Eventually I'll find that one broken gbp with a working screen and non working board.

While searching for broken Nintendo stuff on ebay look what I found
Why would someone what this? She does not have a face. And it just occurred to me, that when you put in a cartage, you are shoving it in her ass. :-\
