100th page! ;D  Woo-hoo!  This ends up being the perfect post for it!

Well we've finally moved into our new house. Still need to do a ton of unpacking and organizing, cleaning, more cleaning, and so on, but we've at least managed to get a few rooms to the point where they're functioning.

This will be the new home of RCG :D

We've come full-circle. Started in my home office, which was a tiny 10x12 bedroom, has moved several times over the last 4 years, and now comes back home to a 2,200 sq ft, 2-story garage. It needs a lot of work in order to be ready for us to move the business in, but we're already moving forward with that.  The best part is that I won't be throwing money away on a leased space, plus I'll be paying significantly less "rent" per month, PLUS the mortgage will seem like next to nothing for us, since we (as a family) will only be paying half of the it!  House is 2.5x the size of our old house, on 5-6x as much land, yet our mortgage will be roughly half of what we were paying on the old house (when you figure in the business paying the other half)

Living room is massive. Not even sure how we're gonna fill the whole thing...

Oh wait, vidja games. Gonna take a lot of work and planning. Since it's communal space, I can't turn it into an all-out nerd den. So I'm probably going to need doors and drawers to make it happen.  I might be forced to ditch the UGCs, otherwise I'm going to need to be quite selective about what goes in this room, and what goes elsewhere.

Seriously pleased for you mate.  Lovely to hear when it's all going good for someone you 'know'.

Awesome that the business has been successful enough to fund the home upgrade.   Well done.  Hope it continues!!!

Thanks, sheep!

I very much so love this community. TCP is literally the only forum that I still visit at all. I wish I had more time to contribute, but I know I'll eventually have more time to contribute again.  Things are starting to nromalize a bit at the shop, and I think pretty soon I'll be able to hand a lot of the work off to current and future staff so I'm not killing myself over every little project.  I've gotta give TCP a lot of credit.  After all, I pretty much started RCG on this forum. Forte was my very first customer ;D

Great to hear.  Can't wait to see the new game room once it's all set up.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Complete with manuals, display stands, and fancy boxes. Even shrink wrapped these suckers.

Why?  I don't even like Pokemon, but it was fun and they're for a friend :)

Not a Pokemon fan either (never played any of the games), but I still like what I see.  :D

I remember when Red and Blue was released in the US. I was on those like white on rice and I've loved them ever since. I would LOVE to have all those.

I have been seeing Rose Colored Gaming all over this forum for quite some time, but I never took the time to look into it. My first thoughts...WOW! I work in a low tolerance manufacturing industry, so I value quality over anything else, and this stuff looks amazing. When I finally get around to setting up some nice media-sized shelves, I will definitely be buying from RCG. Seriously, this stuff looks fantastic. Will there be any more limited release backlit GBA's? I would definitely be in the market for one of those.

Thanks!  The LCDs for the backlit GBAs recently went back into production.  The prices are absurdly high (because China knows that people are desperate for them), but once the vendors start competing with each other, then prices will come down.  We just did a small run of Famicom themed units and we'll be wrapping up some NES themed units early next year.

They are nice, but I don't know why everyone likes the older GBA better. I threw mine in the trash to get the far, far superior SP, myself. OK, not literally, but I hate the old GBA compared to the SP.

How is an SP superior to the older GB other than having a lit screen?
I would much prefer having an original GBA with a lit screen mod. I also like being able to replace batteries over having to make sure my unit is always charged.

To me, the SP feels better, I prefer the rechargable battery, I like how it folds in half, So everything about it, to me at least, is better. The only downside is old GB(C) games sticking out, but no biggie.
