I've never seen this, but to me it seems pointles unless you are projecting your 3DS onto a larger monitor and so far, the only way I know to do that is extremely expensive.

I still don't understand why Nintendo can't make some type of add on for the Wii U that would be similar to the Game Boy Player, but would be for DS and 3Ds games.  You could use the Wii U controller as the lower screen and your TV as the upper screen.  I would buy that in a heat beat.  If it included GB/GBC/GBA support that would be even better.

I guess they might, but I was thinking of some type of addon that would attach to the Wii U itself similar to the way the Game Boy Player attaches to the GC.  In this way, the controller wouldn't need to change. 

I don't have a Wii U yet, so I've never looked at one up close.  Does it have any type of expansion slots or room for add-ons of any kind?  Obviously the GC had multiple ports on the bottom for add-ons.

Expansion ports have pretty much been replaced by the USB ports.

Also been cranking out portable system stand designs for myself (and to sell on the website).  That's been a fun mini-project.  So I'm pretty much abandoning the ol' double UGC storage method, and will be building a bunch of wall-mounted display cases for them

What you see in the pic is a shelving unit that I use in my garage normally. The rest of my portables are sitting on the couch right around the corner
