I've never even thought to try something like that. Do codes actually work for the SGB with the Genie?!

Either way, I'll try it out after my wife passes out.

I think there maybe was some fan-made codes, but normally when you put the SGB in the GG, the games play in slow motion. I also remember very crudely cutting up the plastic on my Game Boy Game Genie to make it fit in the Super GB. That worked, of course.

wiggy, how come you are so....awesome?  You're my anonymous internet-dude role model hero of the month man - you're so damn creative and resourceful with all this stuff, it's sickening.

Anyway, congrats on all of your projects - it's really interesting to see what you've done both with covers, and also other stuff.  Keep up the awesome work!

You're making me blush :)

Seriously, thank you!

So, it does indeed work great with the SGB :D I took a short video of myself playing Tetris (one handed, so don't criticize my crummy playing  :P ). I'll post it up soon!

Or post a video of a micro SD card plugged into Sd card adapter plugged into GB emulator cart pllugged into a game genie plugged into a super game boy plugged into a game genie plugged into Action Replay plugged into an SNES.

Of course the SD cart is empty as we don't like video game piracy, besides the tower woulkd not work anyway, and if switched on would probably blow the fuse inside the SNES.  ;)

All that and I'll stick my Satellaview on the bottom  :P

If my SNES cartridge port weren't so worn out, I'd prolly attempt all that.  As it is, it took about 5 minutes just to get that SGB to fire up and run properly.  I gotta grab another SNES or 2 sometime soon...

This is pretty darn awesome.

This would be one way to get my Super Game Boy 2 to work without issues.

Alternatively, I've considered getting a second Super Game Boy 2 and original SGB and just attempting a case mod.

But this is pretty sweet too.  Curious - how much would you charge for something like this?

Hmm, not sure. Let me figure out how long it took and get an estimate thrown together. Now that I've done one, it shouldn't take nearly as long to reproduce it. The only question I have for you is whether or not you want to supply the parts, or would you want me to source them?  It requires 2 Genies and any SNES game with a board that has the extra pins. I found my extra Genie on eBay for 5 bucks shipped, and picked up the copy of Stunt Race on Amazon for $1 + shipping.

Woo-hoo!

FINALLY, some more UGCs on the way.  I've still got about 75 SNES games to case up, and I've worked my way down to about 5 UGCs that I've been holding on to in order to box up some oddball items like Gamesharks, peripherals, etc. :(  This time I didn't screw around and ordered 2 cases for myself.  That should last me a LONG time.

Plus, Azarkhel will finally be getting a supply of cases for his games!  Woo-hoo for him as well!

Sorry, I'm just so excited to get back to making SNES covers again that I had to make a random post about it  ;D

Just so this isn't a totally useless post, here's a little preview of my revised PS2 template that better meets the needs/wants of TCP users.  I'm liking it so far and I may have to switch my PS2 covers over (I've only done about 10, so shouldn't be too much of a headache).

Do you guys have any preference with regards to the color of the template border?  The blue is what I'm planning on using at the moment.  That tan color is what I used for my old template, which I still like a lot, but if I'm gonna be updating my templates, then I may as well add a little color to better differentiate between the different consoles.

Hm.  With all those parts, I can't help but think it'd be cheaper to just get a JPN Super Game Boy 2 and a US Super Game Boy...  I missed that you had to use two SNES Game Genies.

If I were to have you do it, I think it'd be cheaper to have you source the parts.  I'm guessing we'd both end up getting them on eBay, but I'd have to have them shipped to me where I'd re-ship to you, at an extra cost.

That was my thought too (about the shipping).  Well, I'll let you know by tomorrow sometime either way.  I've already found some cheap-o items on eBay ;)

Don't you still have some extra pins in your broken Genie you could spare?

Don't go out of your way yet - I can't say 100% I want you to make me one yet. :D

Well, I want you to make me one.  Just not sure if I want to buy it. :D
