Cut the top of the case so it sticks out like a hang tab

You can just bend it like this person did at 3:00 minutes into the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LE2BZ6jBYIc

Do that about 7-8 times and it'll snap off.  I think I'm gonna try and shoehorn it into a double...

Also, did you see how he modified that SNES Genie?!  Ick.  I sure as hell wouldn't do that just to fit it into a UGC :(

But won't fit on shelf :/

Yeah what he did to the SNES Game Genie is blasphemy! Couldn't he do a double and cut out the middle somehow to make it fit? I sure as hell would of tried harder than he did.

Could have just done what i did (i had a spare Game Genie and the one i took apart had a broken hinge)

Anyone else hate the shape of the cart for the SNES Game Genie?  I have a solution!

My newest project that i wanted to work on for years!  I picked up some spare $1 SNES sports game for the sole purpose of doing mods with them.  I've always hated the way the Game Genie is shaped on the Super Nintendo.

I gutted out the inside of an snes shell and managed to secure the Game Genie inside of one of the game shells.  It wasn't the craziest of mods but it was very time consuming and I think the time was well spent. Here are my results.  ;D

Fits in the UGC with no bulge whatsoever!

All together & comparison of old shell vs new snes game shell

Cart only, its pretty damn slick  :)

What it looks like when you put a game in my new Game Genie

Proof that it all still works. I made a spot for the switch and lite of the front of the cart.

Your turn Wiggy. Let's see you mod a Zelda NES cart like that for the NES Game Genie! Of course you would have to extend the cart slot. Then you can also move your FX Genie into a SFC/ PAL shell for maximum compatibility. Hmm, wonder if there's any way to have the NES Game Genie work in both a Famicom or NES?

Another mod I'd like to see if the Game Boy Game Genie. I remember when the Super GB came out, I sliced up the Genie to fit. It worked, but it was sure ugly.

Additional modding needed as SFC/ PAL carts don't go to US SNES as is, as the tabs in US SNES.

If someone can shove GG guts into an SCF or PAL shell, then I'm pretty sure they could cut the little notches in the cart which would allow it to fit an unmodded SNES ;)

Yeah, like i said additional modding needed.
And knowing you, if you would do it, you would transplant the notces from the US cart in such perfect way that it would look like they would have always been there.

There is no way GB Game Genie fits in GB cart shell

I can snap you pictures of the insides as soon as I return from city in 3 hours.

Ya I think I'm going to do the SNES game genie mod. It looks nice in an actual SNES cart. Also my original GG cart is broke.
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!
