I'd like to think so (that I'm handy/crafty).

I have two recent accomplishments to that end that I'm pretty proud of.

First, I found this 60" DLP on someone's tree lawn.

All that it took to fix was a new lamp and a toothbrush to clean one of the 3 fans that had completely caked up, causing the TV to shut down the moment I would turn it on.  Essentially, I fixed it for free.

My wife bought a pricey Bosch dishwasher last week that wasn't working.  The upshot is that it cost almost nothing, the downside is that I was expected to fix it.  It wouldn't power on at all.  Took it apart, found that the power switch had a broken plastic tab that's about 1mm thick.  The broken tab caused the switch to split apart ever-so-slightly when you depressed the power button which kept two metal tabs from making contact, and thus not powering up.

See how tiny that little tab is?  That miniscule thing kept the whole dishwasher from functioning.  It was go in the trash because it was missing .1 grams of plastic.  Madness!

Anyway, a couple of drops of superglue and that fucker is never coming apart again.  Free fix and a baller new (used) dishwasher!

I know I keep saying it, but I'll be uploading a bunch of stuff soon.

170 games done to date between SNES, N64, PS2, PS1, Saturn, GBA, GBC, GB, NGPC, and the single Wonderswan game that I've done so far.

There's 12 Mega Man, and 18 Mario titles so far.  Still plenty to go ;)

Alright, back to saving JPGs...

edit: SNES games are up!

15 bucks, now my GB Zelda collection is complete save for Ocarina 3D (don't have a 3DS yet, but I will eventually).

So, now that I have AoL, I'm working on that ol' Zelda box that I've been talking about.  I'll have pics soon...

Also, this.

You geezerly SNES guys should be hip to what I'm trying to do ;)

No no, 100% Super FX chip compatible Genie ;)

This copy of Stunt Race has to die for the cause, but I don't think anyone will be too upset over it.

Yeah, works perfectly so far :D

Now I just gotta make some codes LOL!

I guess some FX (or any of the other "extra pin" chip games) do work without those extra pins being connected, but they do suffer from some performance loss.  I cant' find a definitive list, but as soon as I grab yet another Genie I'll test which do and don't since I had to basically destroy the donor Genie for 16 of its precious pins ;)

So far it works 100% without any performance loss with Street Fighter Alpha 2, Star Fox, Stunt Race, Dirt Trax, The MMX games,  Vortex, & Yoshi's Island.  Gonna go try the rest now...

I don't have Doom or Winter Gold, but I honestly can't see why they wouldn't work either.

Super random question, but seeing as how where I was hoping to get some foam for the CD sized poly cases isn't going to work, figured I'd check with you wiggy.

Where'd you pick up the foam inserts you used for your memory card holder?

Any art supply store should have it.  It's called "foam core", because it's got a foam core sandwiched by paper on both sides ;)

Thanks! Will have to stop into a store or 2 on my way home and see what they've got locally, and what the price is.
Should work out nicely to hold UMD's in a poly case.

It's really great stuff.  Easy to cut, holds its self together pretty well over time, not too pricey.

Good luck!  :D

Try the Super Game Boy in your Frankenstien Game Genie and see if you can play w/o slowdown now.
