Ok; tweaked Shenske's 8-disc poly case template to fit the dimensions of these cases.

Shrunk the spine to 10mm, adjusted front/back to account for the extra length -- but that's about it. Height of the case is the same as in the 8-disc poly case template -- which means I'll probably be making a revision shortly to lose a MM or so in height.

Template can be downloaded from my box.net: http://www.box.com/s/97f8a108a267f9a5637c

PlayStation

Dreamcast PAL-E

Dreamcast NTSC-U

Dreamcast NTSC-J

I'll see about tackling a Sega Saturn and Sega CD template after I finish my unified template up; but figured since you were looking for PlayStation and Dreamcast first Soundwave, I may as well knock them out of the way since we had a great template to work from.

Fer sure dude, everything is looking really cool so far.... i do have one small favor though, would you be able to add the white dreamcast template as well? thats the one i like using ;D

With the sega cd and saturn i was thinking of something similar to the pack-in "not for resale" discs from back in the day.

It's in there -- Shenske had it in his ;)

Dreamcast NTSC-U (White)

There's also 2 alternate backs for the NTSC-J as well that are included; just didn't take preview images for them. I had meant to take one of the NTSC-U white but forgot.

thats cool man. I was using your poly case idea too for a while but i just didnt have the space for them with the amount of ps1 games i own. they wouldnt even fit on that shelf i have, i had to stack them on the side which i didnt like doing at all. I do want to thank you for the templates you provided, and all the fantabulous covers...... so thank you.

Wasn't liking what I was coming up with for my unified template last night, so jumped over to working on a generic Sega CD template.

Based on Vt102's template, I created a new striped background (though got the width from Vt102's template -- 180 pixels) but otherwise everything else was modified from Vt's template (though I did get a cleaner SEGA logo from one of Shenske's templates, so I could do 2 different back options).

Sega CD (v1.0)

Sega CD (v2.0)

Spines of the Current CD Sized Poly Templates

Off to Sega Saturn (already got my striped background made :D) I'll upload the .psd file when the Sega Saturn one is done.

This is great! Ordering my cases posthaste!  :D

If someone prints out some of these new cover templates for their cases, I'd love to see them!

I actually have a question for you guys. Do you think the Sega CD and Saturn logo should be on the top of the spine instead of the bottom as to be more consistant with the other templates or not for the sake of looking as close to retail as possible?

Im kinda leaning toward the top so that the game titles are all aligned.

I'd have to see a side-by-side mockup I think.

Logos on the Spine are a little bit bigger, I suppose I could play around with them to get them more in line with the others. Additionally, I hadn't realized the PAL Sega Saturn logo was so much larger than the US version until I did the previews... I will be tweaking that after dinner.

Anyway here's some more:

Sega CD v1.1:

Sega CD v2.1:

Sega Saturn v1.0:

Sega Saturn v1.1:

Sega Saturn PAL v1.0:

Sega Saturn PAL v1.1a:

Sega Saturn PAL v1.1b: (Only difference between 1.1a and 1.1b is the SEGA logo on the spine has a white frame around it)

And here's some spine shots: (oops.. apparently I grabbed the PAL v1.1a twice and missed the 1.1b)

Hmm... What if you resized the Sega CD and Sega Saturn logos on the spine down to the size of the Dreamcast/Playstation logos? That way all of them have the system logos taking up the same amount of space, and the game titles would all line up. Either way, it might be good to have the option for the original style as well.

This also gets me thinking that a lot of my older DOS and PC games came in old jewel cases and would look great in these. In fact all my PC games could work, except Starfleet Academy which is 8 discs total (maybe split into two 4-discs could work).

EDIT: Ordered a first batch of cases!

Ok... think I found the solution :D, the logos are still a little bigger than the Dreamcast and PlayStation logo, but I'm happy with them. Didn't like the way they looked when they were a closer size. I didn't break past the red/orange portion of the Dreamcast NTSC-J template for these ones; so ultimately should end up with the same amount of space for game logos.

And here's the "complete" 3-way option for spines.

Edit: Whoops, looks like I didn't save images of the PAL versions using the updated "larger yet slimmer" Sega Saturn logo (The 6th and 7th ones in, they use the same logo as the 3rd one in)
Edit 2: Here's the link for download this template from my box.net account: http://www.box.com/s/11e4babf79d07011704d
