Well I've migrated all of my template components from my incorrect (too small) .psd over to the "larger" one which I hope is correct. I printed a copy last night and it was just a tiny bit shorter (height and length) than a CD case; so hopefully it's correct. I'll be able to test it fully on Friday).

As for actual progress on my unified templates, I've got a few more Imandix previews up in a photobucket account here.
- I've finished the spine layout (though I feel like the Nintendo cases are missing something, I put their Catalog # on there where the SLUS/BLUS/ULUS # is for Sony products; but it still feels a bit empty compared to the PlayStation ones.
- I partially finished the top banner for the GameCube and Wii games (Game Control/Options Icons are resized, cleaned-up and rearragned as needed)

Left to do on my unified templates:
- See how the Front Banner / Spine look with the Original "PlayStation" and "PlayStation 2" logos (based on suggestion from irvgotti)
- Finish the 1st Half (Left side) of the back banner for Sony platforms (just image resizing and rearranging)
- 2nd Half (right side) of the back banner which I'm toying around with as another unified feature across all platforms.
- Bottom of the back (Legal, Barcode, ESRB, Game icons etc).
- Potentially setup a unified back layout (for descriptions, pictures, etc) -- not sure on this one yet.

After that, assuming I have my dimensions right on the base template dimensions I'll get to work on converting the current 8-Disc Poly cases over to the dimensions for these cases.

Random Questions for you Soundwave:
1. Did you get a tracking # with your order? I got a shipping notice that it went out yesterday with UPS ground but didn't get a tracking #.
2. Where did you print your covers at, the colors (the blacks especially) look amazing on them (way nicer than what I'm getting on my current printer, and better than the last batch I had printed at Kinko's)

hhhhmmm.... I had an order confirmation number but I dont remember getting a tracking number, I dont think there was one.

I usually make a trip out to my local fedex to print out my covers. Im friendly with the pm shift guy and he prints anything i need really cheap since theres no management around at 11pm.

Nearly done with my templates, just the back legal/barcode/esrb/game logo section which I don't think will take too much time, I've got a couple .psd files around which I've already cleaned up most things in that I should just be able to copy over.

Also tonight I went and added the "classic" PlayStation logo styles to the header:

I think they work pretty well on the Front, but not too happy with them on the Spine *shrugs* though I'll probably use the Slim Style.
(I also have updated pics of the others with their completed front, spine and back banner layouts up in here, but didn't want to copy them here in an effort to use less space)

Assuming I get through the legals Friday or Saturday (got a wedding to attend Friday night) I'm thinking I'll probably jump over to converting the similar dimension templates over to this one on Sunday or Monday.

Should get my cases in tomorrow to check dimensions on which I'm looking forward too.

I can check tomorrow, if Soundwave hasn't gotten back by then -- but based on a little trial I just performed with a GB game inside a standard CD jewel case (with the part that actually holds the CD removed) it was a little bit too small. The CD jewel case would close, but bulged out a little where the GB game was.

Yea I did the same test. I just thought that the other cases might have a little more space inside so it would probably barely fit!
This option would be alot cheapter to me than buying ds cases so I hope to get positive feedback from you guys :P

gb games will fit in a single disc case if you do a bit of modding, gotta cut the middle part that holds the disc. You can fit them in the quad cases without any cutting at all, itll sit in the corner though, and if you wanna add a booklet it might fit but might be a little tight.

Well had little time to check my printed copy with the cases before a wedding tonight, but just finished checking and it's a near perfect fit -- it technically could probably stand to lose a MM or 2 in height, as right fits the plastic sleeve perfectly (or at least the one I trimmed out did.. i suppose I could have left a little extra on one end by accident).

Those are really nice! It almost makes me wish I had some of my disc games based loose so I could make these. All my loose games are carts, sadly...

Well like I said before, you can still use these and store the retail cases somewhere else, that's what I did. All of the games you see here were originally bought complete with manual and jewel case.
