scarmullet:

My Imandix doesn't have such an option for CD paper thingies.

So here are two covers I was able to dig up. My Dune Spice Opera back was all faded and damagy so I had to make one from scratch

Looks nice!

Though I wonder if we should consider branching off into separate threads, since we are already posting covers for PS1, Sega CD, PC/DOS, and audio CDs, with a lot more on the way?

Velmeran:

I started to put together a more generic thread description, thinking it may make sense to either branch off, or at least move the topic to the cover sections; could probably tweak it and create some threads.

CD Poly Cases Thread

About the CD Poly Cases:
Found by soundwave925 these poly cases are made of soft, clear plastic which are pretty solid. The single and four disc cases both include clips to hold game manuals and a solid, easy to use hub for holding the game disc. Additionally these cases are the same dimensions as a Standard (non-slim) CD Jewel case. Because of this, they are an ideal solution to housing CD based games and saving your shelf some real estate.

Single Disc Case empty:
<Similar to Soundwave's pics in page 1 or 2, but smaller dimensions>
Single Disc Case with Game:
<Similar to Soundwave's pics in page 1 or 2, but smaller dimensions>
Single Disc Case tabs to hold manual:
<Similar to Soundwave's pics in page 1 or 2, but smaller dimensions>
Four Disc Case empty:
<Similar to Soundwave's pics in page 1 or 2, but smaller dimensions>
Four Disc Case with Game:

Four Disc Case tabs to hold manual:

Pros:
• The Poly Cases are more durable than a standard CD Jewel Case.
• Dimensions are smaller than the 8-disc poly cases, thus freeing up just a bit more of your shelf space.
• Solid outer sleeve allows for retail, or custom artwork to be displayed.
• Since the cases are clear, original artwork or inlays can be displayed on the inside as well.
• Best features of a DVD case, with a smaller, thinner package.

Cons:
• Thicker (RPG, European) manuals won't fit with 4 game discs inside the case.
• Not as many covers (hopefully this is just temporary) as the 8-disc poly case.
• Not as many covers (hopefully this is just temporary) as the DVD case.

Where To Buy:
As Shenske stated in his 8-disc poly thread; you are welcome to google the cases and find your own however Soundwave has found us a seller with low prices and speedy shipping.
• Single Disc Case w/Clear Sleeve @ $0.30 per case.

Was thinking if it was just 1 thread, I'd set it up so that the first couple posts after the first were "reserved for later" and then try and keep a running list of completed titles, organized alphabetically by system.

TyrannicalFascist:

Looks good! We definitely have too many templates to warrant a thread for each, so maybe we could split it just into 2-3 threads. I just worry that having all covers in one thread might get kind of messy, though a list in post 1 would certainly help. Maybe "Console Game Covers" (Sega, Playstation, others), "PC/MAC Covers" (PC, DOS, Mac games and programs/applications, since there can be MANY possible covers) and "DVD/CD Covers" (movies and music, and any other miscellaneous covers). Then we could keep covers separated into logical groups.

If you want info on Games for DOS, you can put "Spine, Front", and on Games for Windows, you can put "Spine, Front, and options for PC CD and PC DVD".

fiatbravodriver:

Can anyone suggest a UK seller for CD Poly Cases please?

Closest I can get is 10mm "Half Size" Single Black DVD Cases.

Thanks in advance,
J
