That's what I was thinking.  I'm out a total of $11 though so I can't complain that much.  Can anyone recommend decent quality component cables for Wii or Xbox (they don't have to be first party).

The Wii first party component cables are a little easier to find but you will pay the first party price $24.99 to $34.99. The official are also still available on the Nintendo online store.

Ask for Xbox, what pisses me off is even when I type in ORIGINAL Xbox component cables, they still give me 360 cables  >:(

But there's the Xbox High Definition AV Pack which is the official cable with toslink (optical) out for 5.1. There's the cable I have which I believe is first party but they seem to be rare, it has toslink out as well.

Of course for both there's the Monster Cables which are very good quality especially the shielding I have used both of them on both systems, but they are of course expensive because of the brand name.

Trust me, don't buy Chinese knock offs, I did that and it almost ruined my TV.

I've never run my original Xbox through component, so no recommendation there :(

You have to know how to search for that sort of thing.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p3984.m570.l1313&_nkw=xbox+component+-360&_sacat=0

Use "Xbox component -360" instead of "original Xbox"

The "-" will cause the search to exclude any instance of "360" in the results and you won't be stuck with a parameter such as "original", which isn't likely to help since it's not something that every seller will use in their auction to describe the old Xbox ;)

Maben:

Thanks Wiggy!  Yeah I think I got something like this for Xbox: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-HD-Component-AV-Cable-for-Original-Xbox-/390400069193?forcev4exp=true#ht_1714wt_952

would not recommend lol
