Hi all,
I know I'm not very (or perhaps, not really) active from a communication standpoint on this site, so if this chafes anyone here, please feel free to ignore or delete this topic. At any rate, I'm posting a little info about a Kindle book I recently published, and I put it here because it relates strongly to video games. In short, it's a detailed comparison of Sonic the Hedgehog and The Beatles. Sounds crazy, right? But it works; at least I hope so. I compare virtually every main Sonic game with a Beatles-related counterpart, both albums as a band and as solo artists. There are also two consistent themes, the first being that many games have a strong Beatles "match," the second being that the two entities share an overarching commonality in that each now futilely tries to live up to previous greatness. That is, the 3D Sonics try in vain to match the expectations of the hallowed 16-bit titles, while The Beatles' solo careers struggle to live up to the expectations set by the band itself. It's not a lengthy read (my intention was for it to be a Kindle Single, but that's backlogged with requests so I pursued traditional Kindle Publishing, if that helps give some insight on its size), thus the 2.99 price point. So, yeah, if my inactivity on these forums deems this post a spam, I really wish you guys no headache (this site has provided me with a LOT of enjoyment in casing my loose carts) so please do what's necessary with it. Thanks for your time.
