My God, man you are a machine! Awesome!

Though I do hate to be the one to point out errors, but you need to change the barcodes and SNS numbers on the backs of all of those Mega Man covers. I just pull them off of the horizontal covers here on the site.

I can't believe how picky you guys are about barcodes and nit-pickety details that you'll never even notice.

I did all that nonsense on the 1st 30 or so covers that I did, then I realized that I (or anyone else) won't ever notice that sort of thing.

Just download Gimp and do it yourself if it's that big of a deal.

It's not so much that I care all that much and I don't as far as just printing and using them, but if we want to get them submitted and approved to be custom covers on the site, those things are important to the admins. Covers have been denied approval for less... I'm happy to change it myself on the one's that are done especially given the amount of work in cranking out so many in a row, but it's something to keep in mind going forward.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense.

That said, there are some really shitty scans on the site, which confuses me with regards to the approval process. Check out Mario Golf for the N64. Holy crap is that thing a mess!

Yeah, that's one that could really use improvement.  :P

Uploaded fixed versions of the 4 Mega Man covers, 2 Super Mario World covers, 2 DKC covers and Earthbound.

Just a head's up, a few I plan to tackle soon: Pilotwings, Indiana Jones, Yoshi's Cookie, Adventures of Batman & Robin, and MMPR: Fighting Edition (if I can find scans of the box anywhere).

Sounds good, i'll remove the link to my PDFs from this thread. Best if everyone gets them off yours.

Our site has been going for over 5 years.  Our approval process has become far stricter (for the better) than it once was.  If you have better scans then please post them in the appropriate forums and we can replace poor quality cover currently on the site :)

That's where you are wrong. I know plenty of people who are very picky about authenticity towards these things for various reasons. For example, I organize my games by UPC, meaning those bar codes need to be correct, or else my games won't be ordered correctly. (My Xbox games are trickier, admittedly, because games that get the Platinum upgrade get new bar codes, which really throws the order for a loop. Those are organized by their original UPCs, not the Platinum Hits variant, but I digress)

I can understand how it makes no difference to you, but if you do post your covers, keep in mind that it does matter to some.

Wait, so how do find them on your shelf?  Do have the UPCs memorized?!

I definitely won't go back to fiddling with all the UPCs and SNS, SHVC, or whatever codes.  I spend WAY too much time on the designs already, and that just slows me down too much  ;D

No no. UPC is Unique Product Code. Each game has a unique code, which is a string of numbers (the bar code is a visual representation of the numbers, and the numbers it represents are just beneath). I just look at the number in the back, and put them in number order (by console, so the games aren't all over the place). Doing so automatically arranges games first by company, then by release date.

Oh, I know what a UPC code is. I worked retail for about 7 years before going back to college ;)

I was just citing the SNS and SHVC codes because they seem to be something else that people are concerned with.

Still, I can't imagine organizing my collection that way.  Shopping for what game to play by who made the game would confuse the snot outta me. Just not something I pay all that much attention to, save for the really big name titles.

But, as they say, whatever works :D
