Thanks, I definitely agree. Now that I know how to make these icons, I'm going to start to make the missing NES icons. If you have any ideas for other unique icons that may only be used on one or two covers like the Super Game Boy Controller, let me know and I can give it a shot. Pretty much anything is fair game now.

Well, the VRU for Hey You Pikachu comes to mind when I think of icons. If I can think of any more I'll list them.  ;D

Alright, cool. I'll start a list of the icons I'm planning to make then.

-NES Zapper
-R.O.B.
-Power Pad
-NES Multitap (Four Score)
-Power Glove
-N64 VRU
-Sega Genesis Cartridge (for RetroGen)
-Sega Genesis Controller (for controller adapters)
-Atari 2600 Joystick (for controller adapters)

EDIT: Wow I'm blowing through these pretty fast...  8)

So, printed out a few of my covers and...yea I redid the spines because they looked horrible being dark green then light green. So here's the updated links:

This one I kind of designed for myself, for the first version of Pocket Monsters Stadium (Pokemon Stadium 0) The cover is, eh but if anyone needs it or wants to improve upon it, go ahead:

Seems CRT monitors are much better for colour reproduction.  ;)

Well, I'm back from a rather epic vacation with my friends to DisneyWorld and Star Wars Celebration VI! We decided to bring a costume from our Spoof Wars parody film series, and sufficed to say "Disco Fett" was an overwhelming success - I'd guess well over 400+ pictures taken in a few hours (we literally couldn't walk more than 3-5 feet before a bunch of people wanted pictures of/with Disco Fett). We participated in the costume contest, somehow ended up in a fan's music video parody, not to mention Seth Green snuck by at the end of the day to snap a picture of our costume before making his stealthy escape! I'll be posting pics and videos of our adventure on our site, our Facebook page, and we now have accounts for Disco Fett on Facebook and Twitter.  8)

Anyways, I'm getting back into the groove of things here, so I'm ready to get that NES template finished and start doing some more covers! Also, the links in the first post should all be up-to-date.

Well it's about time I finished this bad boy!

NINTENDO ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM FUSION TEMPLATE 2.0 FINAL

With the icons provided by Deadpool and some modifications and my own icons, I've FINALLY finished the last fusion template! This one has the most icon options including: Number of Players, Multiplayer with Shared Controller, NES Zapper, R.O.B., Multitap, Power Glove and Power Pad, many of which also have an optional or required version. Like the SNES template, if your game only has one accessory used, use the icon in the middle of the 3 slots. If I missed anything, let me know. Download in the first post.

That wraps up all the Nintendo templates. 8)

Back from the depths! It's been far too long since I made one of these covers. I got pretty busy with other things since my last post...

But, there's a few gaping holes in my collection that I'm raring to tackle, starting with a pretty major oversight in the releases so far. Choose your flavor:

Thanks. For me personally, as much as I like the gold look for Zelda, I'll be using the blue-green one. I like having a variety of colors for all my games.

Got another cover done:

LOVE the Zelda covers! Only thing I'm not too big on is the background image on the spine logo.  Other than that though, fantastic work!

Goddamnit, TF.

You make me want to rip out most of my other covers and put your fusion ones in place instead. But I don't know if my OCD can handle having two different style covers.  ;D

So I decided it's way past time for me to do my own take on this one.

SUPER MARIO WORLD

As usual these days, I couldn't decide and made two background color options, inspired by the ground colors in the game. Which to pick...  :-\

I like the tan one, but maybe a slightly diferent shade.
If yo are using the SMW cover from the site, I made a new one with sharper art, and I got the logo separated if you want to use the one not from the game title screan.

Back from the dead!  :o

So I haven't had much time for cover making in a long while, mostly due to work and other goings-ons. I have a little free time here, and I'm thinking about trying out StoneAgeGamer's BitBoxes for NES games.

I thought I'd give a shot at converting my old Nintendo Fusion covers to fit these cases. I did a little future-proofing and tested SNES and N64 as well. Here's what I came up with: (note the previews are not exactly the right dimensions, just what was closest in Imandix)

So first of all, the front and backs were pretty much a matter of resizing them. On the front I extended the left side color to keep the aspect ratio the same. On the back, I created a little banner with the BitBox logo and the url for TheCoverProject.

The spines had to be remade, but this gave me an opportunity to change some things. For one, I added gradient fades to the spines along the spine curve (thanks to StoneAgeGamer's dimensions). I also decided a while back that having all N64 covers have Red/Green spines was not to my liking, so I changed it to Red/White (thanks to feedback from Wiggy a while back). I feel like you can see the game logo more clearly now.

Finally, after looking at my collection of GB/GBC/GBA games with characters at the bottom of the spines, I decided that I wanted to showcase a portion of the game's box art at the bottom to make it more visually interesting and for even easier identification. As great as a front or back is, the spine is what you see 99% of the time if you have your games on a shelf like me.

Nothing finalized yet, but just wanted to share this experiment so far.

EDIT: Some spines in a row from the same system. Also a test of a Gamecube cover (for storing accessories; probably would use NES case).
