You know I've been wondering something else about Super Mario Brothers Special, where can you get a reproduction cart of it?

Took a little longer than I thought due to some things at home lately, but here's the updated NES Fusion template:

It has all the minor adjustments the same as the SNES template, and has N64-style icons for Number of Players, and Number of Players (Shared Controller). Once I get the icons I need, I will update this template with the other accessory icons (Zapper, R.O.B., Power Pad, Power Glove, Multitap), but that is all that should change. So if you want to make an NES cover, feel free to do so, and if it will use any of the missing icons, just leave space for it so you can update it.

I'm dealing with some preparatory things for a big trip my friends and I have been planning in August to SW Celebration VI, so I won't have as much time for covers as I'd like. Now that updated templates are up for all the Nintendo systems, I'd encourage anyone to make some covers for their favorite games, even if they've been done before.

Question TyrannicalFascist, for the Super Game Boy covers are you going to put a 1 Player Controller, A SNES Mouse Compatible icon and maybe make a new vector for the Super Game Boy Commander?



Also are you going to update Azarkhel's covers yourself with the icons or are you waiting on him to do it? I actually already updated Super Mario World if you want the links.

Yeah, I was planning to have all of those icons on the SGB covers, once they are made. I actually recently got a SGB Commander, and I really like it a lot. Since it was specifically made for the SGB and also can access the unique features, I think it's deserving of it's own icon, even if just for those 2 covers.

I haven't seen Azarkhel on this thread in a while, so I don't know if he intends to update them or not. If you want to add the icons (and replace the back legal text in the black area), then that should mostly bring them up to date. I could keep his originals in one of my box folders, and link to your updated ones. I'd still like to get his permission if possible though.

Nice, was it Hori that made the SGB Commander? I've been meaning to get one myself in the near future. And I hope to see those icons put on those covers soon enough.

You'd be surprised how many people don't know that you can use the Expansion Pak with the GameShark

So I've been practicing a bit in Photoshop using the pen tool with stroke effects, and I've gotten the hang of it enough to make some of my own icons!

In addition to the minor updates in template v2, the covers now have icons for number of players, the SNES Mouse, and 2 unique icons - one for the Super Game Boy Controller, and one for the Game Boy/Game Boy Color cartridges, much like what I did on my SNES RetroPort cover. I know a select few Game Boy games allow 2-players on the SNES with the SGB, but it would make more sense to list those exceptions on the Game Boy games' covers.

Finally, all of my covers are now updated to v2.0!

I like, I like, that's a superb job on the icons, it makes the covers seem so complete

Well, the VRU for Hey You Pikachu comes to mind when I think of icons. If I can think of any more I'll list them.
