Thanks for the input everyone, and I totally agree with everything you guys suggest, though to be honest I'm not all that interested in creating a new N64 cover style at least not any time soon, I was just toying around with what it could look like since it was suggested.  I'm actually perfectly happy with the current N64 vertical style. :P

I might still toy around with it down the road based on the suggestions everyone made, but I'm mostly wanting to focus on the SNES covers.

On a related note, I got a chance to print out several of the covers and I think they turned out pretty good! They fit very nicely next to both my existing SNES vertical covers and my N64 covers.

Very nice Azarkhel! I really like the look of your covers with the large characters on the back!

Here's a couple more of mine for a few games that I don't think anyone else will be making covers for anytime soon:

Thanks mate, it works well with covers for repros as I only need to use a few lines of text instead of trying to rewrite a Wikipedia article into a blurb. Shame I had to start with a low res cover image but I think I managed to get a good end result with some noise filters and a bit of cheeky texture work.

Loving all the pop out bits on your covers, I know its more of a pain to do but it really makes the covers more dynamic. Good work!

I like your style a lot.  It's a good mix of what's nice about SNES and N64 packaging rolled into one  ;)

Keep it up!

Would you mind doing these in the old Vertical format:
-Tactics  Ocre
-Mario is Missing
-Mario's Timemachines
-Mario & Wario
-Godzilla

No hurry but when you have extra time or something...

These new covers are amazing, but I'm too far gone to switch the template I'm using.

You could definetly convert those over to the old template without making any major changes. I think it would look great if you decided to leave all the back art and screenshots right where there are and just adapt it to the template. Great work man!

I'd prefer normal Vertical US cover with gray bars.

@Arseen - Mario & Wario and Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters are already made for the regular SNES vertical template in the Localized SFC and Reproduction covers thread. http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=3494.msg70040#msg70040

I can go ahead and make Mario is Missing and Mario's Time Machine for you soon.

@Azarkhel - Man those look great! Seems kinda silly for me to request some covers, but my photoshopping skills aren't good enough for my tastes to tackle a few big-name SNES games and be happy with the result. Plus I've gotten busy lately and haven't had time to do any more covers in a while. Would you be willing to try making some of the big ones:

-Super Mario World
-Super Mario Kart
-Super Mario All-Stars
-Star Fox
-Mario Paint

I know you did some of these in the original PAL template that I based this one on. Also if you don't mind on Mario Paint and Star Fox I'd like to keep the SNES mouse logos and Super FX logos where I have the mouse logos on my Mario & Wario cover just for consistency.

Also if you feel that that template is ready to be released, you're welcome to do so. :)

Oh, I still want to see the grey bars left on the back of the template. Obviously the background art would need to be removed but all the other art, screenshots and text left in place would look nice.

@TyrannicalFascist:
Thanks for reminding me.
I tought I had seen those 2 covers somewhere, just can't think straight.
This time I'm not drunk, but have fever of 39.8.

@BadChad:
I'm still not sure I like those big artpieces either as they take too much space from the text.
Star Ocean and Tactics Ogre have next to none text.
Of course one could make text smaller but that probably would not look good either. :-\

But we'll see what the end result is if someone makes the covers, they might be good. 8)

If you want a big block of text find a well written section for me and i'll drop it in, as it is I just used the writing on the back of the PSP versions.
