The power glove worked with any game.  There weren't any that were specifically made for it.  Moving your hand just triggered left/right/up/down. It was "backward compatible" LOL :P

R.O.B. would work.

On the Power Glove, it doesn't make sense to add it unless the game was designed for it. According to Wikipedia, 2 games were made to be enhanced specifically by the Power Glove - Super Glove Ball and Bad Street Brawler. On those two it would make sense to have an icon of the Power Glove and say something like "designed for use with the Power Glove", like how Pokémon Stadium says "designed for N64 Transfer Pak".

I suppose we could always add an icon on Super Game Boy for the Super Game Boy Commander.  :P

Something I worked on over the weekend and it's almost complete. It's Super Mario Brothers 3 with the Japanese style titles. The only thing I really need is the raw yellow spine without the American style title and the section on the back top left so I can put in the title there as well. I think I may even add something next to the left of the preview window. Think you could send me those TyrannicalFascist? :)

Sure thing. Here's the cover without the SMB3 logos.

SMB3 - https://www.box.com/s/f9ff6b58b4a57cc467f1

And in case you want to do the others, here's Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA) and both versions of Super Mario Bros. 1.

Got a new cover up for a pretty important Super Nintendo peripheral:

Super NES Controller

This uses rgc's cleaned up version of my template (without the icons, since this controller has no peripherals or number of players). Thanks to wiggy for the logo!

Added to master list in first post.

I'll probably tackle the Super Game Boy Commander next, until the updated templates with icons are done and I can return to game covers. Can anyone confirm if the Super Game Boy Commander fits in a UGC? I haven't picked one up just yet.

Very nice zakurowrath! Here's a blank SMB2 (J) cover if you want to do the Japanese title: http://www.box.com/s/6319aea8310c5736ea4e

I had some extra time, and coming off of making the SNES controller, I went ahead and made one for:

Super Game Boy Controller (aka SBG Commander)

I figured that if it had been available in the west, it would have been called the Super Game Boy Controller. If someone wants to draw up a "Commander" title, I can put that in as an alternate version with the accurate name. The Super Game Boy icon is by wiggy from his template thread. This is the only cover I can think of that would ever use it, so I went ahead and put it in.

Added to the master list, along with zakurowrath's covers.

Yes there were, though I don't know if it made much difference. Super Glove Ball and Bad Street Brawler. There were ALMOST special U-force games as well that never made it past prototype form. Retrousb.com had a repro of that as well.

I think either the "Super Mario Bros." needs a white stroke, or the 2 needs a black stroke so they match each other.

Looks great!

Thanks! I added a download link  :D

Would you like the other version of the cover with the Nintendo Power cover you did?

Well... :P The place where I put "The Lost Levels" is actually covering up some really bad photoshopping I had to do just to make it look nice from the original scan. I'll give it to you if you want to attempt to clean it up (mostly the sky, clouds, and the corner of the ? block).

Haha yeah. I have a lot of experience with Photoshop, but redrawing things is not something I have much experience doing. I'm sure someone on this site probably could, but that's a decent solution.  ;)

Mmhm, and I'm using 7 year old software called Fireworks which is actually supposed to be used as a vector editor, I'd love to have CS6 soon thou :) Can't wait to see the N64 template done.  :D

So along with a bunch of cool games, a Sega CD, 32X AND a Saturn, my dad got me a bonus present for my birthday! He knew it probably wouldn't work well, but thought I might get a kick out of messing with it. I'm sure some of you knew about this already, but I had no idea this thing existed. Even though it's an unlicensed product, as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to make a cover for it...

RetroPort Adapter

To my surprise, the thing actually works with my handful of NES games! I'm still planning to get a real NES, but this thing is such a nifty oddity that I'm definitely keeping it.

And as if that wasn't crazy enough, there's another one called the RetroGen Adapter that lets you play Genesis/MD games on your SNES! I doubt that it works well, but considering how cheap it is I might pick it up anyways. I've got most of the cover for that one ready when I get it.

I had to modify some things for this special case since it isn't licensed or approved by Nintendo. I also threw in a special icon indicating its use with NES cartridges. I also made a button-mapping visual, which I'll do for the RetroGen Adapter too.
