Hah, not a bad idea actually. I do wish there was a thicker UGC out there to accommodate a lot of accessories and some of the thicker handheld systems.... Thick DVD cases are great and all, but a thick UGC would be better. |

I agree 100%. I'm actually trying to hack a couple together in a way that doesn't look like shit and doesn't take like 2 hours to mod. the hardest part is figuring out how to get a sleeve that covers both cases. I've got this roll of clear PVC, but I can't find a good way to adhere it to the PP (because PP is a waxy pain in the ass >:( ). |

Thin lines of hot glue? |

Not a strong enough bond. I've tried 3 different "super" glues, and some 3 minute epoxy. I tried heat, but the PVC and PP have different melt points, so that's sort of tricky. I'll figure something out eventually... |

Hmm. For a lot of the props I've made for Spoof Wars, Gorilla Glue has worked really well. There's 2 main kinds they had at my local Ace Hardware - the bigger tubes which comes out yellow and foams up quite a bit over a long period, and the small Gorilla Super Glue tubes, which has clear quick-drying glue. The latter has worked really well on plastic, wood, metal and vinyl. If you haven't tried it yet, you might give that a try. I'm not 100% sure it'll work, but its worth a try. Just be careful not to get it on your clothes! http://www.gorillatough.com/ Wiggy, if you succeed at creating it, I'd be very interested in a documented pictures or video walkthrough of how you did it. :) |
