How close to original are those ones? --- End quote --- Got one of those shells myself a while back. They're pretty good quality. Not far off from the originals at all. The biggest difference I noticed was that one of the screws didn't quite line up 100% perfectly when installing the shell. It was pretty darn close, but was a bit tough to screw in in that spot. Other than that, they feel really sturdy. Not cheap and flimsy. Mine had an ever so slight "rougher" texture to it than the original SP shell, but that could have just been from the original being handled a bunch over the years. |

As I just ordered a few hours ago the only thing I can say is this is by far the most complete shell set I've seen. I've got some cheapies sitting here from years ago (like $3 each clearanced on DX) and they don't have screws, or the Nintendo badge for the top lid, or even a piece of the hinge shell. They'd only work if you have that color SP and you reused a lot of the parts off your old shell. |
