I hope this is a typo, but while looking for stuff on eBay, one of the suggestions that came up was this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Castlevania-Dracula-X-Super-NES-1995-/221262135290?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item3384403ffa

The prices for Dracula X have been ridiculous for a while, but this is beyond anything I'd seen.  $3,449.99, really? ???

Okay, now, one of those bullshit VGA-rated games I could see being put up for that much. But this is fucking stupid. I think this person (assuming they even have the actual game to sell) is just going off of the most expensive prices, not realizing the reason WHY some people put up their games and ask for thousands of dollars.

Also, fuck VGA rating in general, and also, fuck people who can justify jacking up their asking price on anything at all just by putting "RARE!" in the item listing, despite the item not being rare at all.

...I beg your pardon.

DNinja:

I thought it was one of those stupid VGA-graded games at first, but then just for curiosity I looked at the listing and it's an open-box game. That's just crazy. I don't think anyone will buy it, but it's annoying seeing these weird, inflated prices.

On another note, is Dracula X even rare? I remember it being pretty common back in the day. I know the prices are inflated because people want it to fill their collections, but even $200 - $300 is too much. It's not even that great, to be honest. The PC Engine version is better (and cheaper.)

Blumpkin:

Asking price is almost no indication of a game's value. Selling price is.

And I'll agree with the anti-VGA rating. Why in the fuck would I ever want a game that I could never play?
