Megatron:

--- Quote from: FritzWhite on May 28, 2013, 05:37:28 PM ---I've been wanting a Jaguar (Atari) for a while now. I had one as a kid, played the hell out of it and it's the last retro console I want. For games I want AlienvsPredator, Wolfenstein3d, Tempest2000, Doom, and Cybermorph, which are all the games I had and played as a kid. I've heard Kasumi Ninja and Rayman are pretty cool for the system too.

I already missed one chance to get all of this when I didn't act quickly enough on this listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281094156318?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

I've watched the prices for a while and under $200 isn't bad for everything that was included.

I've been cruising ebay and craigslist for over a month since then waiting for another opportunity to get the final system for my collection and finally... I found another Jaguar listing on ebay. I set my personal limit around $200 knowing that I might go a little over that to get this one because the condition was really good and it came with the exact games I wanted, and an extra controller too. But where the hell do you draw the line when bidding?

In the last 5 minutes, the bidding jumped from $127 to $202 and I was already getting edgy about it, but I said fuck it, I want this thing so I'll go to $230. I even blew past that and bid $260 and still couldn't beat the other person's max bid. $260 on an old system that everyone hates on and is used by dentists to hold tooth cleaners. What the hell, that's almost enough for a WiiU. Ok, I'm done crying about it. Just wanted to share.

This is the listing I lost out on: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Atari-Jaguar-Black-Console-NTSC-/181144903285?autorefresh=true&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&nma=true&si=8M5lIEIOWbW1v2GjAyZp88YPWI8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

There's no way I'm spending over $250 on an old system like that. It's fucking ridiculous. I should have gotten the one listed in April when I had the chance, but it's over. I guess I'm over it now.

Ah.  Cybermorph.

"Where did YOU learn to bid?"

You couldn't pay me 260 to put that thing in my cave.  That was the first thing I sold when I went back to college. I cannot believe they're worth more than 20 bucks at this point  ???
