we, of course will all be dead by then, so who cares? (LOL)

I shall live forever, so I do! :D

Or I will make museum or donate in to one.

The price is just a decorative figurine... These items -if sold- go through the "best offer" option. I do hate VGA btw, graded games removed from potential players is sad, but we gotta appreciate the preservation part. A lot of our golden gems from the 8-16-64 bits era are going to be destroyed by the oxidation taking part on the copper contacts in a century or less.
These, of course, are my Two Cents.

Luckily they're actually a brass alloy, so they'll last a lot longer than that :P

Hmm, maybe I'll sell mine.  The version that I made is far cleaner anyway, and I don't really care about the GOW cover on the back (although I'd scan it before selling)

Did that item actually sell, or did the listing just expire?

It says it sold for 50 bucks, obviously by way of "best offer".

Not "eBay", but related.

I just found a hilarious craiglist ad. There is such a thing as over-selling something.

"I have huge collection of Sega stuff. I spent over $3,000 on all this and I need to sell it now. This is a very rare combo of both sega cd and 32x. With the combinaton of the two the graphics are incredible and almost same what you find in a nintendo WII or even a Playstation 3 these days, but much cheaper with all games included. I have over 14 games including night trap which is both sega CD and 32X required (this is where you see the true graphics come into play,, looks just like real video!). Also comes with 18 sega genesis games. BONUS I will threow in game gear handheld system (much like nintendo U comining out in Dec but better because standalone COLOR graphics). the game gear and 4 games cost over $300 alone. Also including (not pictured) several promotional vitual fighters posters. Need money for parking tickets so much sell asap. email for more photos . $850 firm"

Nope

Can't say that without cracking up...

Craigslist is funny.  Some stuff for WAY less than it should be that you never get because there's always someone else that saw it first, and then there are crazies like that guy.

"I hav a NES plus Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt 4 sale.  SMB/DH is like the rareast game for the system because it has two games on it and because they all got thrown out by peoples moms when they got a genesis or super nintento for xmas the next year!!!  500 or best offer. Please, no low balls.  this is easily worth 800 or moar.  My lose is you're gain!  Dont miss this rare oportunity!!!"

Failzorz.

I delt with Cregs List once and got a good deal on a 6 switch Atari 2600 with 31 games and a storage box for the games and 2 joysticks and a power chord. It was $30-$40. It was missing the RF switch box but it works well. He ha a boxed 5200 with a bunch of stuff and some Genesis stuff, but someone else got to it first.

I was talking with some one about a N64 and a controller and 5 games. He was looking for money or a 360 or PS3. I contacted him but he got a trade for a 360 wit a bunch of stuff.

I've had two absolutely AMAZING finds on craigslist, but alas they were also HEARTBREAKING as I was beaten to them.

One was an NES system with all hook-ups, 4 controllers, the Four Score four-player adapater, and about 25 games, 10 of which were complete in box and included titles like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Projectand Medel Palace. The price for this glorious lot? $25!

That one was nothing compared to the second. A complete in box SNES system, BARELY USED, with about eight games complete in box, also barely used, along with about another 6 or so that were cartridge & manual only. Among the CIB were the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Valis IV, and Secret of Mana. Soulblazer was among the cartridge & manual games. The price for this glorious lot? $50!

You know how when you check out craigslist and you end up seeing nothing but the same old things that are always up there? Well, things DO show up once in a blue moon. The trouble is that all the good stuff is up for such a short time because people pounce on them. Funnily enough, if I had never seen these two ads then I wouldn't have cared, but since I did, the failure haunts me endlessly.

I figured this would stir the pot on the ebay topic:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/EarthBound-Super-Nintendo-1995-Box-Cover-Art-Only-/320818702719#vi-content

$59 for a box and artwork only.

Even more unbelievable than that listing is the fact that one has already sold!
