Agreed, most of those games are not going to be worth anywhere near the $9.48 it's gonna cost you for one.  You've got about 5 good pulls out of 67 games.  This guy is making bank though.

I sorta wanna do the math and see how much that helped him out, but that's too much work.  Plus, I would hate to sell all that crap sperately.  I can't stand selling stuff online for less than 10 bucks.  Just not worth all the work involved IMO.

rola86:

I'm actually going through the same thing myself right now (well, minus the UPS oddness - that sounds fishy to me) with an NES and games I bought.  It was advertised as being in great condition and working almost everytime.  When I got the system, it didn't work at all and one of the games had a strong odor of cat urine to it.  I tried working things out with the seller and they basically ignored me, so I opened a case with eBay.  Like you, they send a prepaid return label to send the item back and get a refund.

I've been through similar situations on eBay before, though rarely (most sellers seems happy to work things out).   If I understand correctly, the seller asked for feedback before he even send the system?  If so, that's a major red flag to me and probably means he knew it didn't work from the get go.  The best and safest thing to do is to follow eBay's instructions and steps through the case.  Despite their frequent and somewhat wonky site "improvements" and infurriating seller fees (charging sellers a fee on the shipping rate... really?), eBay and paypal (which eBay owns as well), is actually quite reliable when it comes to buyer protection in these such cases.  I would strongly suggest simply doing what eBay says to do.  Send the item back usig the shipping label they provided (I would suggest using the boxes and packing material the item was sent to you in, if it wasn't packed well when you got it, make sure to let eBay know that before returning it).  It won't cost you anything and eBay will post the tracking number in the resolution center so you can follow it's progress.  Witihin a few business days of the item's arrival back to the seller you should get a refund issued from eBay for the full amount you initially paid.  Once that happens you're done and can leave whatever type of feedback you wish for the seller.  If negative feedback is warranted, then by all means leave negative feedback.

If the seller wants to file a claim with UPS about damage, that's their choice once they have the item back, but in no way is it your responsibility to do anything with that.  Just follow the instructions from eBay and you'll be protected and should get a full refund.  If the seller continues to write you telling you to do this and that, simply tell them they had their chance to resolve the issues and failed, thus a case was opened and a ruling was made in your favor. If they have a problem with that, they need to talk with eBay about it, not you.  Bottom line is that for whatever reason the PS3 your purchased wasn't as advertised to be and the seller basically refused to do anything about it.  eBay ruled in your favor once a case was opened and you will get your money back so long as you follow the steps eBay asks you to follow.

Yes it doesn't mean anything if seller doesn't want to refund.
Ebay/PayPal refunds you and then takes the money from the seller, or at least try.

If seller gives you revenge negative feedback simply contact ebay and they will wipe it away.

This.  Tell that a-hole to suck it and leave him a big, fat negative feedback.

Arseen, sellers can no longer leave negative feedback, because eBay feels that it's "unfair".  Stupid eBay...

That would explain why I didn't recieve negative feedback (would have been revenge) from one seller.
I won auction but he never sent me answer to my e-mails requesting shipping price.
Finally after I had left him Negative he answered thart he doesn't sell outside US.
If he had answered that to my e-mail I would have just canceled the buy and left positive feedback.
His auction said us shipping (but not ONLY US shipping) and didn't block me from bidding.

Like Quazimoto said, if he was asking for feedback before you got the item, 99% sure he knew it wasn't working.  There's no reason he needed that 1 golden feedback IMMEDIATELY.  Buyers beware...your feedback IS YOUR POWER.  Once you leave positive feedback, Ebay assumes that you are happy and you can no longer request a refund and stuff like that (perhaps you could, but not through the normal methods).

My own story...

I ordered Dead Space for the 360 for $12 shipped.  It was listed as "good" condition with the only issue said being it had sticker residue on the case (easy for me to wipe off).  It got here and arrived with no manual, and the cover itself was torn and wrinkled in many places, and looked like it had crayon residue on the back.  I emailed the seller asking for a partial refund, or a full return.  She emailed me back apologizing for the issues that I complained about, and simply issued me a full refund.  The item lists no return address (cause no returns were accepted), and neither did the package.  Thanks?

Well that's pretty awesome!

My recent story:

Bought a lot of 50 cheap DS lite styluses (styli?) a couple of weeks ago. They show up and there are two slightly different designs, about half were one style, the the rest the other. Well, half don't fit in the DS at all. Just too fat.

I let the guy know, not really too worried about what he would do since they were like 5 bucks plus shipping. He offers a 1.50 refund. I asked him for 2.50 since half of them are pretty much garbage. He responds saying that "he's never had any problems before. You got a really good deal. I can't do 2.50, but I can do 2.00 unless you want to send them all back." LOL @ actually bickering over 50 cents!  It's absolutely not about the money, more just that this guy is a tool and thinks that I care about whether or not he's had problems before or how he feels that I got such a "good" deal.

They were .16 a pop when there were 50, but when it became only 22 good parts, it ended up at .38 a pop if you include shipping. Not nearly as good a deal all of a sudden.

Like I said though, I don't really care if I get anything back (seems like no at this point), but just that this guy has absolutely terrible service and he's gonna end up with a negative feedback mostly because he seriously tried to negotiate a partial refund by a margin of 50 cents.

Update on my earlier story:  Got my refund today for the not as described NES.  The initial message said it might take up to three days to have a refund issued once the package arrived.  Actually took less than three hours for said refund to show up in my paypal account.  I'm really pleased with eBay's process with this issue.
