Sorry, I know I've been totally MIA via PMs. I gotta get some different adapters for FX games. The adapters I have SUCK, and I'm having a really hard time getting them to work consistently :(

OK, lemme know if you get them to work.

I'm pretty sure someone shill bid me on this item:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-Genesis-console-w-power-supply-TV-hook-up-w-2-controlers-and-3-games-/112086044539?hash=item1a18d94f7b:g:2SIAAOSwIgNXm~O5

Started at $30, my max bid was $40.03.  I was the only bidder with an hour to go.  Suddenly, a single bidder starts bidding in small increments.  When he bid $40, it automatically put in my max bid of $40.03.  Then he stops bidding.  When bidding which was increasing in increments of $1 suddenly goes up by only .03, it's obvious that the bidder's (me) max bid has been reached.  Seems very suspicious to me, unless a buyer was really willing to pay $40, but not $41 even though he knew my max and that he would get it if he went $1 more.

Also, 50% of the "other" bidder's bids went to this same seller.  That seems awfully high.

By the way, this auction appealed to me because I need a new model 2 Genesis, as mine isn't compatible with Sega CD for some reason.  Also, the red box version of "Super Monaco GP is quite uncommon, it's one of my favorite games, and I've been searching for a year for a complete copy.

I'm not upset about paying $40, as it's worth it to me, but I believe I should have gotten it for $30. I'll pay for it, as I won't let $10 cause me to miss out on a game I've been searching for, but I'll file a complaint with Ebay after I get it.  I'm guessing they'll say there's not enough evidence of shill bidding, as shill bidders usually have a high number of bid retractions and this one has none.

Why would someone buy that? How stupid!

Anyway, since we don't have "The amazon.com topic", I'll use this one.

Take a look at this router.

Now look how much I paid for it:

It says it was shipped. That price has to be honored, right?

well, I'm guessing if it's shipped at that price there's not a lot else they can do about it.  If it hadn't shipped yet, I would say that they would stop it before it left the warehouse, but seems you might get lucky.

Damn,   should have bought two or three of those!

I picked one of those routers up last year at a yard sale for $20.    Great router.

It was the only one for that price. Said brand new too. It's been about a month, but it said it would be long shipping, not that I'm complaining.

Venting Coming...

Flippin' eBay man.  I listed a bunch of Sega games on behalf of my Brother.  Someone bought a bunch and is now claiming the two they purchased at full price (discounts were given on the others because they bought several) don't work.  Happens right...  Well, except all games were photographed in action before being listed.  There is literally pictures of the games working in the listing, yet dude claims they don't.  Pretty obvious buyer's remorse or some sort of scam (good thing we took pics of the circuit boards as well on the pricier games).  So, now we have to eat the return shipping fee because some doofus changed their mind.

It's not terribly common as a CIB, that's all. You can find to loose for next to nothing.

If you know this person over at Nintendo Age, you will think this is funny.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I've seen him post this on the forums. I go to the site for info and stuff, but God, I hate most of those dudes... such a bunch of elitist dicks and that auction is ridiculous. Nobody will ever buy that. LOL!

And the VGA grading company is a joke. It's been proven time and time again. People have sent in games, had them graded and sent back to them, opened it up and sent the same game back in for grading and they've been sent back with completely different grades. The company has no guidelines or set standards and they just hand out random grades, all while lining their pockets and laughing at these dudes whom pay for their "services".

I don't know I him, but I'm guessing he's taking the piss out of the whole grading thing.
