Looks like I am about to get ebay shafted again.  Sellers gets funny when an item sells for less than they want.  The signs are all here, wont give tracking, doesn't respond to emails or gives flaky responses. it goes past estimated delivery date.  Then seller out of the blue says that package was lost and refunds, then you see the said item re-listed.

Everything has happened but the last two.

Ys Seven, I got it for 39.99 and it usually sells for around 50-70.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/161496668451

Had that happen once with a router I was buying for my Cisco home lab (class room was to cold to think in). They said the router was in "New pristine condition." what I got was a router with the faceplate falling off and missing an IOS. The Price was $34. after I filed the claim because they didn't mark the package as arrived (flaking out on shipping updates and shipped it very much later hoping I would ask for a refund) Ebay cancelled the order and I got to keep the Cisco 1841 router for free.

So I think I won that one.
If the package ever arrives and they don't update the shipping right away/no tracking you could try the same thing. I didn't try to do it and found it by mistake. Just wait it out.

Wouldn't this be an item not as described case?

Am I missing something here? Listing shows 392 sold for a $300 NES Zapper. Don't Zappers usually go for $10?

And from what I can see it's  not an original one.

Not saying that an original one cost $300 but  :o

Something fishy there.  I bet that it was priced correctly, and now that they're down to very low inventory, they want to do a count to make sure they don't oversell.  So make the price obnoxious while doing the inventory so that (most likely) nobody buys it, then adjust the price and inventory when done ;)

Gotcha. You'd probably still be protected even if it had tracking showing it as delivered. Ebay tends to side with buyers in disputes.

I think you're right. Makes sense. They probably also don't want to take the ad down and relist the item when they have more in stock to avoid paying listing fees.

A few years ago I had a bid on a copy of Death and Return of Superman for SNES, not an expensive title, but went for about $25 at the time.  My standing bid was $3, and it stood for days because the guy titled the game Superman 64 instead of SNES and no one seemed to be looking at it.  Right before the 24 hour mark, he cancelled the listing and reposted it 5 minutes later saying "rare" in the title.  Well, I bid again, and won it at $16.  I was pissed but whatever, but then the game didn't come.  A full week later past the expected date and zero communication from him.  So I emailed the guy and filed a claim with eBay.  I was planning to go out of town so I said I needed the game by a certain date.  Day came and went, no game.  The next day I ended up getting refunded by eBay.. but then I got the game in the mail the same day as the refund.  So, free game.  I thought about sending the guy $3 to make a statement, but I figured since he could have avoided all of this by either not cancelling the first sale or just shipping the damn game on time.

Well, not to sound high and mighty, but I'd feel bad about that. Not judging you or anything, I just would. Even if it was late, he still sent the game.

Same here.

I bought a large lot of GBC and GBA consoles from a guy in Japan a while back (like 300-400 bucks worth).  Tracking never showed any progress, so I filed a claim before it was too late.  Of course ebay gave me my money back in no time flat, and then the boxes arrived like 3 days later.

I sent the money to the seller again outside of ebay.  It wasn't his fault that tracking was busted.  Hell, tracking still shows that it was never delivered.  Thanks USPS!

If it was some kind of mistake, then I would (and have on some instances) still send them the money if I was refunded and got the item.

However, that first one where he cancelled it because he thought he could get more for it, I don't feel bad for. If you don't want you item to sell for cheap, set a reserve or start it at what you would be happy with.
Most people try to avoid ebay fees and such starting it at .99.

I don't get sellers who put best offer options, but never accept them.
I was looking at a Applause Mario figure, $7.50. I first offer $4.80 and it was iggnored until it ran out. I offer $6, and they declined. WHAT IS THE POINT, if your wiggle room is less than a dollar?

I also went back and forth with a person over a Joy Ride Luigi's Mansion figure. Though, this turned out kinda ok. It was $260, I got it for $180, after some pleasant back and forth. I'll post the bids later.

Have anyone else ever seen a listing with an error, and contacted the seller correcting them?
I did a few times, NES manuals listed as Game Boy, a listing had a photo of another listed item not included, a seller I got a lot of 1989 Mario merch had MK64 toys with the accesories mixed up. Or something else mislabeled.

I got a good deal on R.O.B. because it was miss labeled.  Actually, it was labeled correctly, it's just that a smart seller would have included ROB (without the periods) in the title.  I was the only one who bid on mine despite the fact that there were R.O.B. auctions going on before and after mine for more than twice as much money with actual bids. 8)
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

That seems like a scam, I cant tell how though. Every other bid on the item was cancelled. It had 20 something bids, some above $100, all canceled. Then someone with 9 feedback gets it for $1

Even the top seal seems dirty like if it has been re-sealed.
