A few years ago I had a bid on a copy of Death and Return of Superman for SNES, not an expensive title, but went for about $25 at the time. My standing bid was $3, and it stood for days because the guy titled the game Superman 64 instead of SNES and no one seemed to be looking at it. Right before the 24 hour mark, he cancelled the listing and reposted it 5 minutes later saying "rare" in the title. Well, I bid again, and won it at $16. I was pissed but whatever, but then the game didn't come. A full week later past the expected date and zero communication from him. So I emailed the guy and filed a claim with eBay. I was planning to go out of town so I said I needed the game by a certain date. Day came and went, no game. The next day I ended up getting refunded by eBay.. but then I got the game in the mail the same day as the refund. So, free game. I thought about sending the guy $3 to make a statement, but I figured since he could have avoided all of this by either not cancelling the first sale or just shipping the damn game on time. |

Not judging you or anything, I just would. Even if it was late, he still sent the game. |

Same here. I bought a large lot of GBC and GBA consoles from a guy in Japan a while back (like 300-400 bucks worth). Tracking never showed any progress, so I filed a claim before it was too late. Of course ebay gave me my money back in no time flat, and then the boxes arrived like 3 days later. I sent the money to the seller again outside of ebay. It wasn't his fault that tracking was busted. Hell, tracking still shows that it was never delivered. Thanks USPS! |

If it was some kind of mistake, then I would (and have on some instances) still send them the money if I was refunded and got the item. However, that first one where he cancelled it because he thought he could get more for it, I don't feel bad for. If you don't want you item to sell for cheap, set a reserve or start it at what you would be happy with. Most people try to avoid ebay fees and such starting it at .99. |

I don't get sellers who put best offer options, but never accept them. I was looking at a Applause Mario figure, $7.50. I first offer $4.80 and it was iggnored until it ran out. I offer $6, and they declined. WHAT IS THE POINT, if your wiggle room is less than a dollar? I also went back and forth with a person over a Joy Ride Luigi's Mansion figure. Though, this turned out kinda ok. It was $260, I got it for $180, after some pleasant back and forth. I'll post the bids later. Have anyone else ever seen a listing with an error, and contacted the seller correcting them? I did a few times, NES manuals listed as Game Boy, a listing had a photo of another listed item not included, a seller I got a lot of 1989 Mario merch had MK64 toys with the accesories mixed up. Or something else mislabeled. |
