Wow that makes me feel bad. At least it looks like somebody told them from the popup in the video that there was a cheaper place.

I heard that too, but "retro game cases" are a popular topic on eBay, and it is such a generic topic, so who knows.  Plus this was 2 and a half years ago, so it could have been anybody selling these.

Pretty angry at the moment. Bought a copy of Mobile Suit Gundam Federation vs. Zeon (PS2)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271666150972?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Just received it and wow, I did not receive what was pictured.

The cover is a really bad quality home print that was obviously cut out with scissors.

I'm just having bad luck with eBay sellers. A few days ago I received a copy of Dragon Quest 8 that wasn't even sent in a padded envelope.

It was just wrapped in a bit of brown shipping paper and a ton of tape.

Took 20 minutes to open it without scratching the cardboard outer sleeve, and of coarse the cardboard sleeve was damaged in shipping.

You can probably return this under the eBay quality control money back guarantee.  He listed it as coming with the case, which may or may not play out in your favor since it did come with a case- but he listed it as "good" condition, which states it should come with original packaging.  YOu could also play up the bait and switch - fuzzy picture and "comes with case" only to find it is a bootleg.

If you buy dvds on the bay watch out for this seller. >:(

http://stores.ebay.com/thayerentertainmentinc/

he buys Bluray/ DVD combo packs, then breaks them up and resells them separately, making a profit

I bought an Arnold movie from him a few weeks back.

The dvd in a generic case with the slipcover cut up and inserted into the case.

If you have a issue he wants you to send it back at your own expense, so he can re-list it.

One big ebay jerk

Yea if I need to I'll take pics for comparison for ebay. It's obviously not the same game as pictured.
What I received looks bad. Like china town bootleg, reds are purple kind of print.

Just really pisses me of because I was excited to get this game back.
It was one of the first PS2 games I owned and my copy disappeared at some point years ago.

I love how he puts a piece of tape or something over "DVD." Truly a professional.

$1,200 me thinks not. Looks like about $900 worth of carts to me (if purchased individually), not to mention that being in a lot like that waaaaay narrows the potential buyer list. Would like a lot of those carts, but not for that money. Maybe like 700-750...

Looks like I am about to get ebay shafted again.  Sellers gets funny when an item sells for less than they want.  The signs are all here, wont give tracking, doesn't respond to emails or gives flaky responses. it goes past estimated delivery date.  Then seller out of the blue says that package was lost and refunds, then you see the said item re-listed.

Everything has happened but the last two.

Ys Seven, I got it for 39.99 and it usually sells for around 50-70.

Had that happen once with a router I was buying for my Cisco home lab (class room was to cold to think in). They said the router was in "New pristine condition." what I got was a router with the faceplate falling off and missing an IOS. The Price was $34. after I filed the claim because they didn't mark the package as arrived (flaking out on shipping updates and shipped it very much later hoping I would ask for a refund) Ebay cancelled the order and I got to keep the Cisco 1841 router for free.

So I think I won that one.
If the package ever arrives and they don't update the shipping right away/no tracking you could try the same thing. I didn't try to do it and found it by mistake. Just wait it out.

Definitely had sellers try to back out after an auction ended. One of the last micro systems I bought on eBay almost fell through that way. Was a CIB violet (Asia-only color) unit. Was pristine and I got if for a LOT less than people typically ask. Seller sent a message almost immediately after the auction ended saying it sold to someone locally and asked to have the transaction cancelled.  I told him "no way, you ship it or I file a claim. You should have ended the auction if it had sold already".

He actually shipped it (and didn't take a piss on it beforehand as best I could tell :P )

Good luck with it. Sucks that there really isn't much you can do when that happens, and we've all seen it happen :(
