15 watchers right now, and it's going for $25.  There's another one with just two lose Zelda carts going for the same price.  Da hell...  At least my 3-in-1 turbo duo CD sold for a good price.

I just half expect it'll glitch out and all the people watching to snipe it will miss it.

It's also not supposed to be international ship, so I've been thinking if I should relist it or let it ride.  EBay's supposed to handle most of that stuff on it's own now anyways.  Relisting at last moment would be suck a dick move though, even if I took a loss I think it'd be better than screwing over someone for my mistake.

Cheapest I could find is $70.  At 10 Lbs, there's no real cheap way to send all this.

That sold,for 50 bucks?  Wow.  You really should have tried to sell that lot here first.  Even with postage I'd have been interested at that price.

Yeah dang man... I mean nothing was crazy-rare or anything in my opinion, but it should have went for more than 50 bucks + shipping.  This is why I basically never try to sell on ebay.  Then again I don't sell a whole lot, period, mostly buy and my bank account hates me for that

There was too much filler in that auction. It just throws people off.  I would have put all the filler stuff in its own lot, then sold the games which were worth anything either on their own, or possibly in their own small lot.  The pricey shipping didn't help either.  The Atari stuff shouldn't have been in the auction. Just adds weight to the package.


Anyway, this makes me laugh. It had a certificate of authenticity, but the numbnuts cracked open the slab, which makes the certificate worthless. I'm no fan of the VGA, but seriously, derp.

I've had "filler" lots not sell, or go for $3-5, and I didn't want them sitting around not selling.  The reason I bundled some games was to make it easier for me (I don't live "in town" so shipping is a pain), and to get rid of the junk that doesn't sell.   Honestly I think two things hurt me the most, shipping, and I FORGOT TO INCLUDE NINTENDO IN THE TITLE.  Default title-only searches suck. 

I still have 3-4 batches to get rid off, but only one left of Nes games, and the best nes game I have currently to draw attention to it is... Simon's Quest.  I think I'm going to keep it and make my first repo from it, a castlevania 2 cart with a few patches.

I am still trying to figure out how if you take a common game, say Final Fantasy on the NES, spend a few bucks to get it graded and all of a sudden its worth quadruple its going rate. Just doesn't make sense to me.......

VGA on a basic level only grades sealed games. 

Do you grade loose video games?
NO. If your item came sealed originally, then it must be sealed to be graded. The only exception to this rule applies to certain systems and accessories which never came with tape sealing the box shut. In instances where no tape was ever present, VGA will inspect the contents and will issue a grade only if the contents appear to be complete, original, and new. For video games, the seal must be the original FACTORY SEAL, not a vintage re-seal (ex: Blockbuster, store return, etc.). For original NES games which came with a horizontal seam across the back, this seal must be present for each game to be graded.

So a VGA box has a much higher chance of being a legit sealed game than an ebay reseal, and if you plan on selling it later, you have proof from a third party that it's legit, so if someone disputes the trade, you have a pretty solid case.  Honestly while they're not exactly a great company to have around, they get a lot more trash talk than they deserve. 

Then they turn around and pull shit like "•Qualified Grading Scale ", where they throw most of their own rules out, that's how prototypes get graded.  Not sure what they're graded on, since it's not sealed, and they do not prove it's a legit prototype.

Never mind you could crap in a box, send it to them sealed, and it's get an 80+

We all know how the VGA works. 

They grade loose items the same as sealed; based on their condition.  Of course they'll slab prototypes, and NWC carts, and rare loose items, etc.  I would if it were my business.  It's a great way to spread the word about the company, especially when those high profile, slabbed game auctions go up.  I'm not really a fan of the what they do, as it's an excuse for sellers to try selling common games for 3, 4, or 5 times their average price, but they've got a good thing going for themselves, and that's without question.

KI Gold has a bid for 199.. is it that rare? jesus it sells for 20 bux loose, i feel bad for that poor guy but that cart is black every auction i checked was gray.. so i don't know if thats worth the huge spike in price.
