Was it as tubular as Super Mario 3D World?
Not bad game but not truly 3D.

1: Yes.
2: Absolutely
3: Definitely, but how would it work? Upper screen on TV and lower on Game Pad? I think for example Yoshi's Island or any other game that requires seemless movement between screen (like shooting Yoshi's egg from screen to screen) would cause problems.
4: I think WiiU's Pro Controller does excelent job. After they added support for it to New Super Mario Bros U the game became absolute dream to play. Wish they would do the same for Wii version of the game, but that won't probably happen, but maybe HD remix of the game is coming...

I just think Mario 64 was only truly good 3D Mario.
Sunshine was OKish, but every 3D Mario since has been 2.5D tube running.
Nothing wrong perse (that BTW means ass in Finnish) but they are not truly 3D Marios.

I agree with all of it, but the wii u does have the pro controller which is great for more traditional games that require a standard controller.
