Hey, everyone.

I just finished crunching some numbers, based on practical measurements of each label type. I will add more, as I encounter different varieties. I hope these help you in your projects.

Original NES Front Label: 666 x 1162 pixels (2 & 7/32" x  3 & 7/8") - fold top at 5/16"
Original NES Warning Label: 938 x 376 pixels (3 & 1/8" x 1 & 1/4")
Super NES Front Label: 994 x 534 pixels (3 & 5/16" x 1 & 25/32") - fold top at 5/16"
Super NES Warning Label: 938 x 366 pixels (3 & 1/8" x 1 & 7/32")
Nintendo 64 Front Label: 656 x 760 pixels (2 & 3/16" x 2 & 17/32")
Nintendo 64 Warning Label: 946 x 366 pixels (3 & 5/32" x 1 & 7/32")

how are you accounting for the curves on the corners of most of these, the top of the N64 labels, etc?

If you're looking for SNES label templates, I've made them a long time ago, and shared them in my box account (link in sig). It's not those exact dimensions, but should be ok, since I just took the dimensions from npes and added the logos and such stuff (since theirs were just black). I've made templates for US SNES, 3 variations for PAL SNES and US and EU Game Boy.

I think I've even posted them here some time ago.

I simply use small circles at the corners of each label shape, then painting in the rest for a base layer. As for the N64 top curve, it's a slight vertical bend with the Warp tool, rounded off with a similar method as the edges. It's probably not 100% accurate, but its VERY close. Once the basic shapes are finished, I then use them in my own Photoshop templates.

I just wanted to get some feedback on these; once they're done, I'll post the full-size versions.

Those are really nice. Would you consider doing the SNES label for PAL releases also?

If you can provide a good-quality picture, and the exact dimensions, I'd be happy to.

From my measurements it's 73 x 30 mm (2.87 x 1.18 in).
For the image you can grab one of my PAL label templates and get it from there. There's a group called "PAL Version" in the "Left" group containing the necessary layers (one is text and the other is vector so there should be no problem with scaling).

OK, so that would be about 860 x 354 pixels; I'll get to work on it very soon.

Amarthar, I can't seem to find the template you're referring to; would you please provide a link? Also, did you want me to re-create the retail one for PAL carts, or do one to match my own US versions?

To be more precise it's this one.

And I don't need the retail one, since it's already on npes. Your labels look much better anyway.

I'm currently only doing templates for the front labels of American releases, if that's what you're after. If you want a label for the back of the cartridge in the same style as mine, that's cool; just give me the proper dimensions for it. A picture of the cartridge would also help as a reference.
