Hey all.
I've been a collector ever since i got my first nintendo when I was like 6, (so that makes it about 19 years).
I've been getting alot of stuff given to me or I've bought it for dirt cheap and most comes to me in non-working condition.
The first system I have ever really repaired was a psone a/c jack that was broke, then some gameboys (btw which are my favorite), a few mods here and there, and have just recently done a sega cd fuse repair mod to where I relocated the main fuse since they are notorious for blowing.

Anyway to my main question, Has anyone done a GBC cart mod to where you get them to light up? I've read up on this and seen some that are done and its really cool.
I myself have tried this mod but for some reason could not get it to work. I used:
A Deer Hunter doner cart,
A Green led
And a 100-ohm resistor.

Now I know that I have soldered the resistor, wires, and led up correctly because I checked it with a tester.
but every time I solder it to the PCB it wont come on when I test it. My solder points are VDD and a ground.

Help!

First, are you sure you have the polarity of the LED right? Second, did you connect your LED to pins 1 and 32 on the cartridge?

Ya, I'm pretty sure about the pins, but the polarity I'm not sure of. When I'm able to go get some other leds I will test that out.

Thank you.
