Title: Image edit request

Since I formatted my computer I haven't been able to reinstall photoshop. Could someone who has photoshop do me a favour and remove the background around this logo so that it can be interlaced overtop other layers without the background seen here appearing? The most I could do is reduce the backgrounf to white, but it would still be a rectangle shaped scan with a completely white, ugly background. Sorry if I'm a little vauge on my choice of words, I'm not really sure how to explain it...I hope you guys understand :D

Thanks for the effort rwiggum, but that doesn't really help me...all you did was switch the solid black background for a solid white background which leaves the problem unresolved. What I need is no background behind the logo.

I'll give my problem again. Oh, crap. For some reason, when I saved it as Jpeg, it put the white background there. Lemme upload the PSD.

I used Paint.NET to get rid of the background and it's free.

It's what I've been using the whole time. Gimp is probably better, but Paint.NET is simpler. There's also a hack of Gimp called gimpshop that makes the layout like PS. Also, PDN can't open PSDs. :( Gimp can.

There's another title I'd like the same kind of thing done, to be able to interlace with other covers if someone would be so kind to do so; it's the Parodius logo. Now, unforntuntely I dont have a high resolution scan and this is all I can provide - if someone has one of the european versions with the English logo or a Japanese copy with it (rather than katakana パロディウス and can provide it that would be greatly preferred. As well, this scan needs cleaning up if someone can do that as well.

I know I can have this looking very nice, but not until tonight when I get back from work. refreshing game titles is one of my specialties (atleast in my mind). Firework's painting tool dose an exelent job with vector type graphics.

BTW. what system is this for? NES? Saturn? MSX? GBA?

ha, ironically none of those AND all of those - Parodius is a series, not a speicifc game. However I'm looking to make custom covers for the three Super Famicom games.

Scanned the PAL Saturn version.Pretty hi-res but needs some work(cleaning and colouring mostly)hope its some use to you(or VT)

LOL.. I actually created it in PNG, but save it in gif and psd thinking that few people use fireworks.
