I saw the first one backwards and forwards at least 100 times because I worked in a movie theater the summer it came out. Kinda ruined it for me. I'm excited to see this one just because it'll feel fresh. :)

Just saw this tonight. Just as epic as the first one. Apperently it was sapose to be better than the first. To be honest, Id say their equally as good in comparison but you definetly need to see the first one to "fully" enjoy the second! Could of done without the guest singer at the end tho...

I say "BOOOOO" to scarmullet! You should be ashamed of your comment! Great movie ;)

But please dont make a third.....Zack Galafainakis does NOT need to get married!!!

Guess I'm the only one who HATED the first one and HATED   the second one even more (not entirely sure why I wasted two hours of my life streaming the sequel when I loathed the original so very much, but hey, it was free, so at least I didn't have to pay for it this time).  And yes, that's "hated" all capitalized and bold and red.

Just watched Expendables 2.

It was good ... in a way.

It was fun to watch pointless overly bloody shooting scenes and Stallone, Swatzenegger and Willis quoting each others movies.

Movie was really made because Willis and Swarzenegger were toobuzy during the making of the first and Van Damme and norruis missed the first.

Story was secondary thing shooting and joking the primary.

Go see it, it was funny.

I saw Bourne: Legacy. It was confusing at first being that there was a different actor. I bet most people that saw it didn't like it because they didn't know that Ludlum didn't write that book...  :'(

Well, the movies aren't based on the actual stories of the books to begin with. Only the first one stayed fairly close, but after that, the filmmakers went their own way. The title of the new film is actually taken from the first of Eric van Lustbader's series.

On another note, I watched "The Long Kiss Goodnight" for the first time yesterday; it was a little too freaky for me. I should have expected it, since Renny Harlin had done the fourth "Nightmare on Elm Street" as well. Geena Davis did an amazing job with the "psycho" persona, but overall, its not my kind of film. I also just read he was responsible for "Die Hard 2", easily the worst of them all.

If you're at all a fan of the Alien series, then Prometheus will really piss you off.  That, and it's a pretty terrible movie aside from that. Leaves nothing to the imagination, forcibly shoves its quasi-spiritual/philisophical plot down your throat all while treating the viewer as if they're retarded (I.e. by spelling out every last little stupid detail), and then posing/answering a slew of questions that no Alien fan gives a shit about, but completely ignoring any unanswered questions that they do have.

Scott kept insisting that it was NOT going to be an alien prequel, and I wish he had told the truth. It was entirely a prequel and entirely crap.

Just sayin'.

Being in the non-Alien viewing minority (I KNOW I KNOW, they're on my to-watch list!!), I saw Prometheus and thought it was an alright movie.  The ending definitely left me with some "wtf...?" questions and from what I know of the Alien origins it seems to contradict some things but I'm not entirely positive.  In my opinion it wasn't a horrible movie, but not something to rush out and see.  There was many points of the movie where I found myself questioning character motives, but maybe that's what Scott was going for.

Prometheus: DO NOT SEE.

Too late :(

I saw it around the time it was released.

As an alien movie...it left a lot to be desired, but as a stand alone movie where I didn't try to tie it to aliens, then it wasn't so bad lol.  From what I first heard, It wasn't meant to tie into the previous Alien movies...but then I heard that it does...so I dunno.  I still enjoyed the movie, but again, as an Alien's movie I think they could've done a lot better.

Total Recall is by very, V E R Y far my favourite Schwarzenegger movie. So you could say I'm a bit biased. But I must honestly tell you I liked the new Total Recall. I knew from the beginning they would be too chicken shit to be as daring, dirty and violent as the original. But I liked that they didn't try to imitate the original. Changed the setting from Mars to Earth, lots of eyecandy cgi, Beckinsale and Biel were also easy on the eyes :) And I have to say, Beckinsale basically pulling off playing Michael Ironside's role, being badass and all. I liked it. Farell is a polar opposite of Schwarzenegger (both in physique and talent). While it doesn't even come close to the original movie it was a fun action/ scifi movie. But I'm a really remake-friendly guy anyway as it's always a win/win situation.

saw pacific rim last friday. wouldn't tell anyone to run off to the cinema for it but it's def worth a watch. drama was alright but a bit hollywood dumbed-down, especially when considering evangelion as an influence. action tho was really satisfying.

re:alien - watched all of them for the first time a few years ago. #1's basically a solid horror-movie, #2 an action spectacle and #3 some kinda freaky-thriller-thingy. they're all fine, but quality-wise i'd place them in release order. #4 i'd already seen and it's basically the worst movie ever conceived and pretty much killed both the franchise and the genre. max payne might be worse, but the damage done by alien 4 left a cgi-stain on the movie industry from 1998 and forward.

I rewatched Alien recently - and it hasn't aged very well.  I had very fond memories of it, and would have rated it in my top 10 movies, but the scenes i remembered as atmospheric, and moody, now just seem to come across as a bit dull and boring.  Maybe it was just the frame of mind i was in, but i didn't enjoy it at all.

when i saw it in '09 or something i thought the ships interior and dashboard looked comically primitive, like a typical 70's image of the "future", but i actually got past that pretty quickly and really enjoyed the movie for what it was. and that's despite me not really liking any movies pre-1980.

Went to see Night at the Museum 3, it was quite dissapointing.
Forced jokes and only thing that made me smirk a bit was the Pompeii thing and even that was in the trailer already.
Rebel Wilson was shit.
Anyway: RIP Robin Williams.

I also went to see Kingsman which was actually pretty good, and last 20 or minutes were really cracking me up.

Night at the Museum was pretty blah and I like Affleck and Williams.

I got the new Mission Impossible movie for Christmas and watched it yesterday.  Not as good as the last, but still very entertaining.

I've always been a big fan of the Mission Impossible movies.  If I had to rank them from best to worst:
  I (still the best)
IV (really helped turn the series back around)
III (probably had the best villain)
V (like I said, entertaining, just not as good as the others)
II (the only one I consider to be "bad"  very generic villain and the cheesy slow motion fight scenes just ruin it for me)

I enjoyed it, don't understand why it got so much hate, maybe I'm too stupid to see how bad it is, or maybe I'm too much of a DC fanboy...

There's only a couple of things I'd change ; the title, I understand why they called it that, but the fight itself was only a small part of the movie,

The part with wonder woman looking through the meta-human files should have been an end credits scene,

I agree, Affleck was a good choice for Batman

8/10

Just got back from seeing "Fantastic Beasts"
I really enjoyed it, there's a good mix of action and non-action,

However the foreshadowing is terrible, I knew who the primary villain was, I knew who the secondary villain was and I correctly guessed the 'love interest' subplot, all as soon as I saw them.

I don't understand why it was based on Newt, they could have easily based the story around Dumbledore...

Still going to see the sequels...

Good to know! This may be the first year I go and see every comic book movie in the theaters instead of waiting for home release. So far this year I've gone out and watched Logan, GotG 2, and Wonder Woman. I had planned on skipping WW until I heard all the glowing reviews. I'm glad I didn't miss it because I found it thoroughly enjoyable. Really made up for the hot mess that was Suicide Squad. After Spider-Man, I think Thor and Justice League finish out 2017, and I don't see myself skipping either of those either. Thank goodness a movie ticket is only $5 at my local theater!

You know, sometimes patience doesn't pay off.  You wait and wait, and nothing really happens.  Glad that didn't happen this time.

And as a life long Spider-Man fan (the comics), we FINALLY got Spider-Man on the big screen.  I loved it.

Just a solid Spider-Man experience.

I'm going to have to go see this soon. I keep hearing great things about it! I just went to see Bumblebee, and I've got to say, it's an amazing movie! You can really tell that they had some love for the original Transformers with all the little references and the character designs. SOOOOO glad that they ditched the Bay-formers designs.
