Lumberjack42 made a Galaga: Demons of Death. You can download it from this Forum page (http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=368.1470).

Wow...didn't realise there was a whole thread's worth of covers I may need! How come those aren't yet on the covers listings? Do they need to go through a copyright clearance to be able to use the original artwork or something like that (given lawsuits what they are now I wouldn't be surprised)?

Some are, some didn't pass quality check, some just aren't yet.

No such thing here. ;D

Ah, a quality check. That makes sense, then. They look pretty good to me, though, so I'm wondering what would disqualify them, quality-wise. Of course, I'm one of the least artistic people on the planet so my opinion means pretty much bugger all. ;D

Well, if the standard of quality is high then it's understandable why something would take more time to do. I wonder how picky they are about scratches and stuff, though. I was about to print out the Dragon Warrior 1 retail cover the other day when I noticed it looks like it had a bunch of wrinkles and creases on it (kind of like how my old box for it looked before I tossed it years ago, heh) so I figured it must have been something else. Maybe those were part of the box art and I have forgotten?

That is cover from the times before there was huge step up in quality standarts

Gotcha. Hopefully someone will have time to fix that one up some day, because I thought I saw someone with a DW3 cover done. I already have DW2 and DW4 in cases and it'd be great to one day have the other two alongside them.
I just can't believe the amount of time and effort people have put into making all these awesome covers. Awesome stuff.

Yes it exsists, bit rough but quite OK.
Will post link when I find it again.

Oh, don't worry about it. I'll probably wait until it's gone through the quality check and makes it to the main site before printing anyway. Even if it takes a while, the end result is worth it. So far I've got about 135 of my NES games covered and they look very nice with all the purty covers on them. Now they look artistic and professional in addition to nostalgically nerdy! ;D

I don't remeber anymore why I asked that. There was clear reason, but can't see it anymore. The post that made me ask has been deleted, or I accidentally answered wrong topic. :D

Heh the same discussion :P
For example, Jackie Chan's Action Kung-Fu USA version is not the same as PAL version.
http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/bigboxshots/6/563426_29024_front.jpg - USA
http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/bigboxshots/6/563426_72833_front.jpg - PAL
And I said clearly, I want only NTSC covers; for the moment I'm not interested in PAL covers.
Anyway I will wait until someone post some raws or upload the covers :)

The Popeye and Excitebike covers Arseen linked are good enough to use for US releases, with just a few quick changes to some of the copyright info and logos. Excitebike's screenshots are different than the retail box (although so are Popeye's but not by much) and aren't rounded off like on the regular box, but that doesn't really bother me much. Oddly, however, both have spelling errors (Excitebike has 'motocross' and 'mototcross' as well as 'comp-petition', and Popeye has a comma where an apostrophe should be).
Anyway, if you wish to use, or change to your liking, the ones I quickly made up (never thought of even checking to see how similar those covers were to the US ones, cheers Arseen! :D ) here they are:

I think Lumberjack said he just picked up NTSC Wizards and Warriors so he'll probably be putting together a cover sometime soon for that one at least.

I'm definitely looking forward to your Solar Jetman, Conan, Solomon's Key, and Wizards and Warriors covers. That'd leave me with under 30 NES games without covers! ;D

Am I right that only difference between US and PAL Super Spyhunter is that US one has oval seal and lacks the B on the front?
If that's all I can probably do the alteration.
-
Arseen to tell you the truth the only difference is the text with the Mattel (This game pak cannot be used with the Mattel...) and yes the B letter instead of REV-A and the seal.

Does the text need replacing (with what?) or just removing?
-
Removing :)

How's this:

Quality of original is not top notch, so this is best I can do.
Can do more alterations if needed.

I was working on the Little Samson cover and this is the result; I hope it helps.
