Dont know if this is the right place for it or if its allowed. If its not by all means take it down.
I have this DMG-01 Gameboy with custom backlight and audio mod. Im looking to trade for some reprocarts.

The top one on my list is "StarFox 2" i'll trade that 1:1
I'm also looking for "Mega Man & Bass" and "secret of mana 2".
My word is good i have a 100% feedback rating on ebay under the same name.
-
I don't think this is against the rules.
BUT NOWAY I WOULD PAY 100+ FOR B&W GB!!! (price of Starfox 2)
-
lol i agree. I was willing to barter and throw in extras lol. Because i cant hold myself to pay $100
for a repro.
I've actually sold a bunch of these on eBay and around my way for about $75-$90 USD each.
Some real careful work goes into customizing this game boy especially for music producers who use the
great sound that comes from the game boy itself. This specific one had the enhanced audio mod to it
with a hex inverter chip to double invert the screen for crisp clarity on the low and dark contrasts. And
swapped out the ugly plum buttons for the original nintendo buttons ;D.

if you can sell them for 75$-90$ on ebay to people who want it... I don't think that you are going to get someone to... I dont know... If you sell one on ebay, seeing that you 'sold a bunch of them' already, then you are not paying $100 for a repro, you are trading various vendors.
I love it when people say "I just sold this for $1200!!" and then 3 seconds later say, "Here is another one for $600, its a nice investment!!". Sounds a little shady if you were to ask me...
-
Im not trying to make a shady deal here. As i said you can check my eBay account (id: irvgotti452) to see i actually have sold these for the exact price i stated, even have one up for "buy it now" at the moment. Im just trying to interest anybody who does have to ability to make the cart(s) in a custom piece of work is all.

here are some that i have sold in the past:

Does it HAVE to be a repro of Mega Man & Bass? I have the Japanese game Rockman & Forte. Got it on ebay for 25€ (~$35). Wouldn't that be easier and cheaper to hunt down than a repro cart?

If you are making another one like the top right with the blue LED backlight I'd be willing to see what I can do. I have a couple of repro websites as affiliates. I assume by Secret of Mana 2 you mean Seiken Densetsu 3.
-
megaman & bass was rereleased on GBA also

did a quick search and found this auction on ebay

Because i cant hold myself to pay $100
I always laugh at this because I was able to get mine for $55 about a year and a half ago from another guy that use to make SNES repro carts for me before the guy over at Gamereproductions was able to make anything worth buying. I just sent him a really smashed up copy of Stunt Race FX for a donor I got off a friend for $5. I even remember him telling me he changed the resonator on the cart with a better faster one so I get a better framerate on my Starfox 2. Unfoutunetly hes a full time electrician and making repros was just a hobby so I beleive he doesnt make them anymore.
I couldnt possibly see any reason why the guy over at Gamereproductions charges so much for that game aside from beeing greedy.

thats exactly what i'm saying i was offered it in the past for around that price but i let it sit. Now i look and those prices are beyond inflated. I know the process but dont have the tools.
-
I have a general understanding of what needs to be done to make repros (for NES at least) and I have all the tools needed. I tried to make a copy of Devil World once since its just a simple eprom swap but I didnt work so Im not sure If its because I screwed up on the soldering or if I split the rom incorrectly. I was using Ucon64 and I hate command based programs. I was pretty dissapointed that it didnt turn out and I havent really tried again since. Id love to start making my own repros at some time but wish I had a friend whod be interested in learning how to put them together with me. Two heads are better than one.

Don't give up. Its usually 1 little thing you may have overlooked. its happend to me in the past with a lot of my projects. I remember doing a dreamcast internal vga mod and it not working for me just to find out i put in a resistor one little space over than it was suppose to be. took 3 moths after i abandoned it to realize it.
