The press here is screaming for blood at the moment...largely Fabio's (though i blame the players). The Argentinians will be a little tougher than us kaiser ;). But that psychic octopus has predicted a Germany win so who knows...

If Argentina plays against Germany like they have been playing all World Cup then I have to say that I was more worried about playing against England than I am now about facing Argentina :)
Plus, four years ago we faced Argentina in the quarter finals too, and we won :)
They will be tough but I think we can beat them.
Oh, and I hate to admit it, but if England was given that second goal for the 2:2, things might have turned out differently. Like 4:2 :D

So in the end everyone is happy. Germany advances to the next round hopefully facing Spain to get revenge for the European Cup and England can say, with their heads held high, they are better than Argentina. At least England scored one (ONE!) goal against Germany ;)

Congrats to Spain. At least now we can say that we've been eliminated from the tournament by the World Champion. Seems like we have another nemesis (in sporting terms) after England, Italy and The Netherlands;) They have beaten us in the European Cup final and this year in the semi-final.

The best game of the Cup was GER-SPA IMO. You guys played with such class and dignity and you should be very proud of your team! I see very good things in 2012/14 for Germany. Holland on other hand, ugh! I'm so glad they didn't thug their way to a gold star. Nonetheless, I can't get enough of this win! I'm so proud of La Furia Roja right now! So proud of my heritage! ¡¡¡Finalmente la madre de mi lengua y cultura ganaron una Copa Mundial!!!
