anyone know where I can order those new PS2 cases that dont have the memory card slot that sort of resemble wii cases? They're black, have the same spindle as a wii case and have a playstation logo emblazened above the spindle.
Thanks,.

Id love to grab some of these too for my PS1 games but I dont think you can buy these.
-
i tried asking here a couple months ago, no one could find any
-
you'll have a much easier time finding the memory card holder ones honestly.
-
Yeah thats what Im gonna do. Probably just gonna buy a bunch of plain dvd cases, take them over to the hock shop and ask to swap them for PS2 cases and just throw them 5-10$.
-
Why do you think I made this topic?
Well I'll explain... See what happened the other say was that I tried to open one of my cases which housed Monster Rancher 4, right? The part that holds the disc is starting to deteriorate... and it's pissing me off.
Also, the manual holders on the reg. ps2 cases are weak as shit. Had 2-3 break already because of that.
I want to switch them with these new PS2 dvd cases so that I don't have to worry about my cases breaking and my discs being scratched.
-
Cant say Ive ever had that problem. All my PS2 cases are holding up just fine.

bregames

Some people are more fortunate than others, Chad. =p
While my PS2 cases are being fragile lately, I haven't had a problem with other cases.
-
Well what are you doing to your cases that they are breaking? When I was younger I use to cram my backpack with my PS2 and a ton of games when going over to friends places and I dont remember ever breaking any of them. I dont really bring my games anywhere anymore so now they all just sit on my bookshelf.
-
Nothing. I literally just popped the disc spindle, and one of the parts of the spindle is breaking off.
As for the manual holders, sometimes I have to push them back a bit, and most cases can go quite a distance without breaking. For the ps2 cases, you can literally only go an inch and it'll break.
-
An inch is quite a ways to be bending a piece of plastic like that.
-
I suppose you should simply stop harrassing your ps2 cases. ;D
Did you ever come across PAL dreamcast game cases? Now that's what I call fragile.
PAL PS1 cases are pretty easily damaged too especially at the hinges but PS2 cases? Those are pretty sturdy and well built.

Oh man my soul Calibur is pretty beat up... as is my JP Tekken 2. And I take care of my games.
-
Same. I try my best to take care of games and their cases, but sometimes they'll still break. smh =/
-
Besides, from my experience, the newer PS2 cases, if anything, are more fragile and cheaply made.

Isn't that like anything though that is new nowadays? Hell my PS1 from 15 years ago still works fine. My ps2? Have gone through ~9

My ps2 slim was always more reliable than any fat model I've had. My old ps1 struggles to read discs these days.

I got my PS1 secondhand from my cousin when the PS2 came out. It never worked without having to be flipped upside down. My PS2 phat needed to be opened monthly and cleaned of dust, as well as having to put one of those laser lens cleaner discs inside. I got the Ps2 slim last year, and I haven't had a single problem with the thing. I'm also not afraid that it will blow up when I put blue ps2 discs in it ;)
